I think that this segment of the film, probably is the one that makes the most sence in a rethoric point of perspective. The use of words like "The means of mass communication is more effective than napalm" really makes me think. How are we in the western world affecting the rest? It, however is their own choice if they want to consume western culture. If the people of Argentina really wanted to listen to a man playing marracas in a sombrero. I am sure they would...

But at the same time that man playing the maracas in the sombrero is virtually banished from the minds of the Argentine. The westernized media consumes the people of Argentina with its perception of art and prestige. The advertisements and millions of smiling people using western products, dancing to western musicians, and watching western films is constantly pushed down the people's throats. They soon want to do things that way, look that way, BE that way.But after all,its ideological warfare.

I am very much for letting people making their own choice. That so much also include culture. But since, as I say by looking at your profile, guess that taking a debate with you wont lead anywhere? Am I right?

I guess so, I am pretty argumentative. But you are right in some ways. The people should definitely be allowed their own choice but, I'm just against the clever manipulative tactics employed by the media pushing the people to make that choice.
