Dropping magazines like a boss...Your gun is a weapon system which consists of many part. If you do not take your bolt and throw it away, or your sights, or your scope, the buttstock etc. and throw all of those things away then you don't throw a magazine away especially on a handgun.

The time it takes using your left hand to remove the magazine and put it into a pocket or preferably a dump pouch is well spent. If you're left without a magazine in a gunfight you're basically dead.

@THPDCF I think in the long run it will definately be looked upon as a HUGE improvement to standard AR rifles. The weight, gas operated piston system among other things is a big plus to me. I dont see why some of the AR-15 community refuses to recognize it for what it is capable of. I know it hasnt been around as long as ar 15 rifles, but the glock and other proven handguns havent been around as long as 1911's and they have proven themselves you know? I think the scar 17 is a special rifle

I wouldn't call your rifle the Mk14, because the Mk14 is built with the 18" barrel for cqb work as well as DMR, and is full-auto, but it's your rifle, you can call it what you want.

@frankthetank EBR will accept the shortest bbl federal law will allow 16 inch. Gas cylinder splines and gas port hole are just before that and you can't shorten it any because the bbl thickens. The EBR also has a op rod guide that is mounted within the chassis this will only allow USGI bbls and no heavy match bbls.

The M14/M1A has been used to engage targets at a max of 800m. I can't understand this FAL and AK is better bullshit. Those rifles were built with different things in mind. The M14 has been around since post WWII, and is still being employed by US forces today as sniper/anti-material/DMR. I've heard of people going from FAL, HK G series, then settleing on to a M1A. Whatever, each their own. I can't take seriously opinions of people that put down rifles they haven't shot.

Thats not bad, same lbs as my loaded FAL. Ive just heard that with that stock its adding about 4 lbs extra than stock. I just sold my FAL last week and bought a black SCAR 17. If you like your SCAR and 7.62x51mm I highly recommend it.

If you think FAls are junk, you dont know shit about 7.62x51mm battle rifles and I would guess you never even fired one. They are still used today, do some research before posting a "this is the best the rest are shit" commet. An FAL weighs less than a M1A and was one of the most widley used rifles back in the day for a reason. Dont hate!

I sold mine for a SCAR 17, which beats them all, but I still miss my FAL. I have a grip pod and a Leupold 1.5x5 mr/t M2 on now.

Maybe the retards had the gas setting set to stupid, An M14 is way better and can be used as a sniper rifle, the top US sniper made 109 kills using a M14 with 3x9 scope. One kill was at 900 meters.
