  • If these stupid fucks weren't so closed about other people's interest and where they find love, who they find love in, these young boys and girls wouldn't go through this purgatory. They're literally suffering because of what heterosexual people think how people should go about finding love. That's so rude of them. They're going through all that for nothing. They think it's wrong because it's embedded into society and they think if their gay they won't get anywhere, when that's so untrue!

  • THIS IS SO COOL .. I'm sitting here in South Africa and happen upon a video with my buddy Brian Sparrow in it!! I hope you guys don't mind, but I'm going to post your video on my blog and facebook and YouTube channel. Keep shattering the stereotypes guys and steal the thunder from all the gap-toothed, brain-dead hate mongers!

  • THANKX FOR THE SUPPORT!!!

    MUCH LOVE FROM L.A. <3

  • HOTTYS

  • for all those don't like, why don't you remember that classic, age-old saying that all of your parents should of branded into your minds. "If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all." It also applies to actions. Thank you

  • that kiss was so cute @ 4:47!!!! AHH SO AWESOME ^-^

  • @BATABll No, actually a lot, so many gay people don't get aids because they're very safe. And no, that's silly persecution in the western world? Silly. No but If they do though, they have a right to know why and seek protection, and the protection they can seek is in Canada; the Canadian government or parts of the USA/UK. And people who accept themselves come out of depression and can finally move on to being successful and getting through this mad, mad world like anyone else! Wow I know right.

  • @martinezkiller1 Then don't play a sport with the same sex man. That's even gayer.

  • @psychoB8765 lol

  • Hating takes a lot of energy, it's time to let it go.

We are all created the same way.

We all breath the same air.

If you wonder who does what with who, ask yourself, why do I care?

Nothing you can do about it. It's neither hear nor there.

  • Awesome awesome awesome! The best posted video in a long time!!!!

  • To everyone,

THANK YOU for your support the last few days. While there has been a tremendous concerted effort by anonymous people to dislike this video, to spam us, we've gotten SO much support from you, and tons more people have seen and liked this video! You're the best!

Please keep encouraging people to watch, and to like this video. We're here to help gay kids in need, and all of you are a huge part in this. Thanks again!

  • If everyone in the world could see this it would open so many hearts to accept people for who they are. Thank God It Gets Better. If you have friends or family who are gay please pass this on.

  • Thanks for sharing!!! It was inspirational!

  • Great video! Thanks for sharing and having the courage to do so. As you know, we're impacting so many who kids who need positive role-models in the face of so much hate out there.

  • Great stuff!

  • This is beautiful. Keep going, guys!

  • @eye8ch Thanks bud! Keep sending this out - we can help people and counteract the people disliking this video who have too much time on their hands!

  • Bravo Chris and Friends!

Incredibly well done! You've inspired me to join flag football here in NYC. Great group! HEY CHRIS - why don't you ask your teammates to participate in Live Out Louds Homecoming Project, where role models from the LGBT community visit their hometown high school to inspire the next generation of LGBT youth. They would be amazing.

    XO Leo

    Live Out Loud

  • Great job with the league and the video. It is great to see some NY Gay Football Alumni like Chris and Sam doing great work down in D.C. Watching this video reminded me of why we worked so hard to start the NY league.

I hope some other athletic guys and girls who may be having a problem with coming out realizes it will be ok. It really does get better!

  • Awesome movement and great video. Cheers.

  • @Rapidnadion Thanks bud!

  • Thank you all for sharing your stories. I am so glad that we live in a world where even those most isolated from help and support can get advice from role models like the members of this team just by going online. May this video reach all who might benefit from watching it. It truly does get better, especially because of people like you.

  • @dig0phelia I truly hope you're right. Thank you so much for watching!

  • Thanks for doing this guys. It's nice that you're sharing this so kids can know that they are ok! It's tough with all the haters out there to feel good about who you are.

  • @kevmuir71 Thanks so much for watching!

  • Great video guys!

  • @Dup7up Thanks for watching the video!

  • I'm proud to say that I am a part of this league and get to play with this amazing group of men and women. Great video.

  • @clawesq And you're tough enough to play in the Sunday slush! :) Glad to have you!

  • Please keep having your friends like this video. We've already flagged YouTube for spam and cyber bullying by this concerted effort to dislike the video, and hope they will respond to this effort by whatever group is doing this.

  • You know you're doing something right if there's so many haters coming to a video with such a positive message.

On the upside, it looks like the video's become a "featured video" again on YouTube because of all the extra traffic. Thanks for helping to spread the word bullies!

  • @mdstudio Humorous thing is, while they're spending all day disliking this video and comments, our views have gone through the roof, and mostly not from the haters! Glad they're helping us get the word out to kids who need it.

  • Great Chris! Miss you in NYC

  • Great job, guys! Anyone who dislikes this video is officially a "Mean Girl."

  • @belliot2 :)

  • Fabulous. Good job. It's about learning and, for those of us who are seniors, we are still learning. And, through growing, it gets better for us too!

  • @ehsorensen It's a long process for all of us. But we're all in it together. Thanks for watching!

  • Awesome video. It does get better and continues to get better. I'm happy to know you guys. DCGFFL rocks!!

  • @jaoutles And it even gets better in the Sunday slush! :)

  • @dcgfflvideo True! Though my team stayed fresh and clean :P. Can't say I'm not looking forward to the great weather we'll be having tomorrow.

  • Thank you for posting this. It's so great to hear so many positive stories that will no doubt inspire youth around the world to be ok with who they are!

  • @PeterYacobellis Thanks so much for watching!

  • Fantastic video!

  • @watson6681 Thanks for watching!

  • Great video!

  • @jackgall Thanks so much for watching!

  • Methinks there's a specific little bunch of ugly trolls who chose this particular video on which to make fools of themselves. Perhaps a local group of a**hats or a personal vendetta?

Because the comments on so many, many other wonderful 'It Gets Better' videos similar to this one are overwhelmingly positive with only the occasional idiotic bigoted comment.

So DCGFFL, keep up the great work ♥ ♥ ♥

Your success must be remarkable to piss off the losers so much.

  • @freeflo2007 Thanks so much for watching! Sorry the trolls marked your kind words as spam. Ridiculous the time people have on their hands.

  • Incredible video boys! Keep up the good work!

  • @bthall2 Thanks so much for watching!

  • It's amazing that a simple video, that's encouraging to anyone who's been bullied or just felt badly about who they are, is attracting so many "dislikes." Interestingly, none have the guts to post a comment.

    Cowardly bullies and bigots.

It just goes to show that the It Gets Better campaign is truly needed.

  • Great video guys well done

  • @depfox its great to know the "itsgetsbetterproject" is still going strong on youtube....

  • Great video guys! You will help a lot of people with this video. It takes courage to live a life being true to who you are. You are indeed showing gay people come in many different stripes. Good for you! The haters and bigots are feeble cowards. Haters are pathetic you are truth.

  • @Fightdog your right...its great to Live a Life Being TRUE to yourself..

    its the ultimate freedom

  • @Fightdog Amen there!

  • thanks for putting in the time and energy to create and share this wonderful, thoughtful video.

  • Fantastic video! It shows so much bravery and how people could over come so much. We're at war with the ignorant and the hateful and you're all inspirations!

  • I love that there is a place in DC where I can play football with family as wonderful as these men and women. Life gets awesome.

  • @Ahackett38 Thanks for watching!

  • You guys are great and inspirational role models for the youth of our country. Keep up the wonderful work!

  • @dcgfflvideo The haters are continuing to give "thumbs down" to positive comments so they'll be hidden. Give "thumbs up" to the comments and video if you like them folks!

  • @JonnyCuntRadio What the hell has that got to do with anything about "It Gets Better"? Your comments are inappropriate.

  • A BIG +1 to all of the previous posters' comments which are actually positive and supportive of this heart-warming video in SPITE of being flagged by some anti-LGBT vandal as being 'spam' or as having 'received too many negative votes'.

    Well done guys! :-)

  • watching these videos always makes me feel less ashamed of myself, I always feel better and happier after watching them, THANK YOU DAN SAVAGE!!!!!!!

  • I remember being told I was to pretty by the football team in my highschool. Four of them got together tied me up and locked me in a metal locker, told me if i spoke or tried to get out they would kill me. I stayed in that locker for three days until the gym coach let me out. He told me it was my fault. No action was taken against any of the partisipants in this episode. This is how far we haven't come.

  • This makes me proud to be from DC!

  • 4:25!

  • You guys are awesome and inspiring. Thank you very much for posting this.

  • Great video, guys. Thanks for sharing and contributing! This is a bit beside the point, but you all are so handsome!

  • Awesome video guys, thanks for posting this.

  • A really nice video. The LGBT teens should be encouraged to understand that it really gets better at the end.

  • this is a really inspired video .... all the best for u guys from a small country in Suthamerica "Venezuela" and keep playing 4 the best !!

  • Wouldn't be great if these giys could go into schools and show athletes that gays are just people too?

How do you fight bullying? Give them role models by having young LGBT professional go into the schools.

  • Thank you so much to everyone who made part on this wonderful video. Thank you soooo so much!

  • What a wonderful group of men -- thank you! You are an inspiration.

  • Thank you guys for this very personal video. You really give hope to all the kids out there.

I wished our sportworld could be more open to gay, lesbian, bi or trans people. A world without hiding who and what you are.

  • I really do love this video. My mom showed me this video. I am straight, and I am a girl, but I am a strong supporter of all my LGBT club at my school, and I have numerous AMAZING friends who are gay. I have grown up around people who are not straight and I do not see why people are so negative about it. I try with all my heart to try and convince my friends to at least accept gays. I've never pushed them into it, I just want peace around my school.

    You guys do great things.

    Thank you SO much!
