its weird how people have separated Pinback into the "sped-up" or "studio" versions. But it is the circumstance. And for me, until I have the honor of seeing them live, I cannot accept the sped up versions, I fell in love with them for their haunting sound and I will stick with that until I hear differently.
@TheFem92 It's weird to think about. Sometimes it's actually the opposite. The Beatles, for example, only got really good years after they got famous.
I don't know that greater exposure would in any way diminish Pinback's passion, creativity, or musicianship. It depends on the people themselves and what they can handle. A person with integrity can bear the burden of fame with dignity and stay connected to what they loved to do in the first place.
this is great, i hate it when bands sound exactly the same live as on the album. love the live energy.

Also kinda ironic: Live @ the SLOWDOWN...
While this song is almost twice the speed of the album-version...
Just ruins the song imho.

I hate how they always speed it up live...
This song needs the slower tempo, this way it just lacks importance...
Take your time guys, and have the full impact. It's not a shallow dance-track... :-/

I like the recorded one better, more earthy and organic. But this is not bad!

@tomathanielguitar
I don't think they want to though
It seems like they play for more than just money otherwise they wouldn't be this good, I mean this awesome
