I couldn't fully understand the saddness my parents felt back when they closed Euclid Beach Park... But when they announced the closing of Geauga Lake Park I understood... It's like someone is taking all those wonderful memories you had as a kid... and that you shared with your own children as they grew up and simply cast them aside. My memories I will have forever...sun on my face, wind through my hair riding the Big Dipper...

@HooverDrumMajor He said Inverted stainless steel coaster, such a terrible/wrong description. Maybe somebody should have told him its simply a floorless steel coaster. Nonetheless the video was enjoyable.

I miss this place this was the first amusment park i went to and I went to sea world as well cause it was close now the nearist place I can go to see orcas is FLORDIA don't get me wrong I have no problems with Florida it's just to darn far:(

I remeber sea world, stupid shamue splashed water on me :P....man i miss is so. I remeber goin there and no body being there so i dont really blame them, they cant exactly keep it open if there not making money. I went every year tho!

Really sad to watch this after seeing what Cedar Fair did to Geauga Lake and how they handled the closing and demolition of the park.. I grew up at Geauga Lake and have many fond memories of the park..

Yeah Cedar Fair came in and managed to destroy a park in 4 years. The best owners were Funtime.

IMO six flags were... they owned the park for quite sum time before they named it six flags ohio.... there only bad move was adding 4 coasters at once... then one the next year then NOTHING for 6 years... of course attendance would be down...

Sorry to dissapoint you cedar fair but you didn't build the big dipper, oh and it had a different name back then and you didn't mention that. oops must not know too much about your own park huh?

Sadly this park can never be experienced in this manner again. Cedar Fair announced on September 21, 2007 that the park will be simply a water park. So anyone that thinks this place is cool, next year it will be all history.
