  • Esta es mi canción cuando tengo que reflexionar acerca de la vida y por que pasan las cosas también es mi canción que me hace pensar como tengo que seguir adelante en este camino gracias Chick Corea y gracias música por existir y ser parte de mi (only have to listen)

  • ........ a little factoid about this tune is that it was Chick's mother Anna's favourite composition of his.

  • Amazing!!!

  • Hey check my version of this song above and give me your opinion!

  • i put it as my Good night jazz. it`s beautiful

  • Staring out at the ocean and sunset from the deck where I lived, in Del Mar, California -1976 ... I watched, from my balcony, waves ripple and I could hear them distant crashing as I played this recording in vinyl, and dreamed. In the morning, I would put it on again, and have a steaming cup of java as I noticed an occasional whale spout and travel on its way south to Scammon's Lagoon in February. These were peaceful days ....I was 25.

  • @durgaaa it does sound like purely peaceful days.......

  • this song realy lets the emotions of my heart

  • My love of Chick's music led my to all the other Jazz Giants. What can I say..my life would be completely different without him..

  • I agree with u....SweeetPicker..and that will be "returned to forever"

  • My ANGST has gone :D

  • Desert.island.disk.number.1..if.tom.hanks.and.wilson.had.this.they.would.pretty.much.be.sorted

  • ... The death and resurrection of Chick Corea.

  • Has this music ever been a soundtrack so any movie?

  • Amazing sound !

  • smiles

  • Great stuff!

  • Fantastash.

  • bliss

  • Return To Forever was (is) a wonderful band! Ricardo, from Argentina

  • yeah. him good.

  • pure and marvellous

  • niezłe, uspokajające

  • My father played a lot of Miles and Corea when I was a kid. This is amazing. Quite unique, quite special. It is such a shame the noise now of culture, the violence and commercialism of music. You'd never, ever hear this on MTV because some executive can't exploit it and package it. Beautiful music.

  • @simeonbanner It's funny, because i think youtube changed my life. No Borders, no limit. You have some video of Lady gaga or justin bieber but if you don't want to watch it, you don't watch it. (unlike on TV, where your brain is formatted by advertisements). Here, if you want to hear some Chick corea, or any other awesome and underrated musician, just do it. You can't imagine all the musican i've discovered with this website.

  • @SweeetPicker that's so true, hurray for the internet! lol And i also think that Chick Corea is REALLY underrated (as are many excellent jazz musicians)

  • @SweeetPicker i fully agree with that

  • @SweeetPicker

I agree with you fully except for the fact that Chick Corea never was and still not is underated, I see people often make the mistake of mixing underated and not known/mainstream, he's still considered a Jazz giant and I don't see that changing anytime soon ;)

  • @DrFlowMusic Yeah, he is not underrated, but if you ask to 100 people in the street if they know him, maybe 1 or 2 will say "Yes". If you ask to 100 people about Shakira or Britney spears, they will all say "yes !".

You're right, it's not chick corea who is underrated ... It's the jazz.!

  • @SweeetPicker --It's all about demographics and population, isn't it ?

  • @durgaaa my english is not good enough to understand your humor : )

  • @SweeetPicker -what is your native language ?

  • @durgaaa I'm french

  • @DrFlowMusic - Couldn't be said better !

I'm sure glad that I'm not part of the mainstream. And I'm glad that I have more than two neurons to rub together !

  • @SweeetPicker very true for me as well.

  • @SweeetPicker

Nothing better then have it on vinyl, and listening to it that way..beats youtube by far.

  • @SweeetPicker RIGHT!!

  • @SweeetPicker Definitely...and pretty soon youtube is going to brainwash us with adverts anyway hehe

  • @SweeetPicker

Chick Corea not underrated by any means

this is a particularly good version of Crystal silence

    regards

    Barbara Barron

  • @barbarabarron1 Hey, it's true, chick corea ins not underrated by people who listen to jazz.

It's a shame, i can't even watch this video ... It's written that i can't watch this video from my country (i'm french) ... In fact, youtube has borders ... and limits ...

  • @SweeetPicker the best comment I've read.

  • @brillodelagua Thank you ... You know I said youtube had "no borders, no limit".

In fact, it has borders, and limits ... Because i cannot watch this video anymore. It's written "You can't watch this video in your country" (i'm french). Fuck.

  • This song + blunt= amazing haha xD

  • @tmcarbon Taking a leaf out of your book man :)

  • haha back to the bassment for some mo beats ;]

  • I grew up listening to this record...Chick Corea is one of the all time best!

  • I grew up listening to this record...one of the best of all time :)

  • Chick Corea is awesome!

  • @MewesK

    his MUSIC is very awesome!

chick corea himself is unfortunately far away from beeing awesome because of scientology.

  • @brennfett sad to hear that. another great human wasted in the depths of false believe.

  • @MewesK .. < sir what is false .. is never absolute ... absolute is always out-of-sight ... all the rest is illusion .. or falseness. what scientology really is only those who have (been) into it are able to give any (relative) judgement about .. i from how you put this know you are not among those fortunate ones ..

  • @go12147 poor fool. its like saying cancer is good but only ppl who have/had it know that. scientology is dangerous and thats proven. it's a money making psycho cult. go spread your propagande somewhere else! or better don't.

  • @MewesK consider this ... chick corea psychopath ? and why is such a completely conscious artist still totally dedicated ? .. then hear this : the essence of what psychopathy is, has been 100 % uncovered by hubbard in the early sixties in a way that still has to be conveyed .. btw you prove nothing by what you say. the only possibility that softens this point is that phenomena that 'what you fight you become' .. which to an extend the case with scientology .. and there is .. 'black propaganda'

  • @go12147 bla. keep xenu to your self!

  • @MewesK ... sir, you dont even have the decency ( + ability ) to stick to rules of sound discussion .. i suggest you talk to mr. corea one time .. and see what happens but you are too afraid to.

  • @MewesK ... totally ridicioulous 'argument' .. trying to prove you know something .. u R a puppy indeed .... puppy .. lol ..

  • @go12147 if to be a puppy means to hate scientology i am a happy puppy.

  • @MewesK ... this 'discussion' sucks .. goodbey ..

  • @MewesK

  • @MewesK ... B I G yawn ...

  • @go12147 you have no clue .. sir ..

  • @brennfett .. you two blockheads here .. ( or puppies maybe ?) an artists work is directly related to his state of mind, his being .. if you would be btter informed on what scientology really is about - apart to an xtnd frm some aspects of the organisation - you would be ashamed of the stupidity of what you write for sure.

  • @go12147 no u

  • @MewesK , and sir ... does that maybe also tells something about scientology ... chick relentlessly having been a scientologist freely AND consciously for at least 3 decades .. ????

  • Deus non dormit...

  • I love this tune...makes me feel warm and thoughtful...many late nights at "The Club" just being mellow waiting to close up after a long night of serving "drinks to drunks" then plug in mellow Chick Corea and let the night turn to morning...good night everyone...

  • @arthriticMamm0 Nicely put mate :)

  • some one told me it's never too late to get into the jazz wolrd...

i'm not getting off this train...

  • @th4n4t0s25 whoever told you that was too right. it's never too late to appreciate beautiful music! it spans across language and ethnic barriers because it's a language we all understand deep in our souls. keep listening brother!

  • this takes us to a beautiful place in our souls.....

  • @rudy9485 such nice refrain rudy9485...:0

  • Sweetness . . .

  • Mi bebe se relaja con esa musica :)

  • I'm so glad I stumbled upon this in my dad's vinyl collection. I had never even heard Chick, I just liked the album art.

  • この曲だけは、何度聴いても飽きない。

    静かだ。

    昔はすぐこんな曲の示す場所に戻れたのに。

  • @ykumakuma777 hi. just curious.. how many buttons on a japanese keyboard?

  • @ykumakuma777 i feel exactly in the same way. gotta love those so-called old places.

  • when i dream of innocence i i used to ear this sound and i reach the stars, time wont wait for me

  • the progression at 0:26-0:31 is just... i dunno, it's so incredible how he comes up with it... 4 chords, infinite power...

  • @kurotanuki1021

    That soooo truee!

  • This is a great album and it used to be very hard to get in the US. I liked this Return To Forever better than either the Connors or the DiMeola bands. Flora Purim and Airto were cool and (long gone) Joe Farrel was such a great player!

  • Al DiMeola does not play in this track, actually not even in this album

  • It has a requiem mood. Very beautiful requiem...

  • garry burton on vibes

  • @EMCEMITCH

NOT ON THIS RECORD. THIS IS RETURN TO FORVER. COREA AND BURTON DID IN FACT DO THIS TOGETHER, BUT That WAS ANOTHER RELASE

  • me too.

  • I still have this vinyl must get my turntable rolling again

  • So is Chick Corea obviously. :/

  • mare valoare!

  • I'm a big DiMeola fan, and loved his worked with Return to Forever

  • Al DiMeola's the MANN!

  • un état proche du dans lequel seul un génie et peut vous plonger. une pureté du son proche de la transparence.

    annie

  • Thanks for the song and the comments because of you guys I stayed on and listened, it was worth it.

  • this lp was so hard to track down i nailed where have i known you romantic warrior and even the pink and red one with day ride on it never found this one thanks

  • das kann heute keiner mehr!!!

  • He spent 10min to write this piece.. Amazing.

  • @alessandrodu6900 LOL no he didn't. Nobody writes a piece in ten minutes.

  • @dgmulf I have the score and it's writen on it ;)

  • "was" a genius?

  • Yes he's still alive omg!

  • amazing sound quality.

  • Completely amazing!!!! Chick was a total, absolute Genius - and a true Class Act to boot.

  • @HolyMotherofGrid no, chick IS a total, absolute genius

  • @HolyMotherofGrid Was? he's still alive lol

  • @HolyMotherofGrid

    what do you mean was??

  • @HolyMotherofGrid What do you mean by "Was"?

  • @HolyMotherofGrid guy's still alive.

  • @HolyMotherofGrid He remains actually...

  • this song used to really hit me hard when I was a kid

  • still hits me hard probably always will

  • blockhead - the strain )

  • sounds kind of like the theme from taxi driver

  • bliliant

  • John Coltrane on sax??

  • joe farrel. Coltrane would have been dead by this time i think

  • coltrane died in 67

  • @MrDestructrive100

    Coltrane was already dead....

  • fat jon and nujabes sample this together

  • word is bond

  • i think flying lotus sampled this too.

    flying lotus - litermeter

  • that was good is hard to find the part he use from this song lol

  • This is a genuise song.I`ve always concerned this album as a perfect album. Istarted to listen jazz by Chick Corea. He absolutely through me out of where i had been all my life `till I heard Corea.

  • I listen this piece in my early ege. This album and feather ones create my taste a lot.

  • the sound of my youth...very true jaspervj

  • Beautiful. Very chilled!

  • too sad for me

  • Is very very beautiful!

    (bellissima)

  • This one is absolutely wonderful ! Great great tune, so spiritual and sensitive !

  • the sound of my youth...the album sits in a dusty corner of record colelction..must dust it off and listen to all of its majesty again. cheers!

  • Yeah MOONGERMS Farrell ! THANK YOU!

-Just pluggin' Wayne. Hats off to the Mad Hatter and MoonGerms Farrell-Where do they get these names? I wonder if SwineFlu Willy is taken..Or T.Party Willy..Hmmm

  • Yes Wayne (Shorter?) is great but this sax is Joe Farrell. And I agree with Mactoja, the version with Gary Burton is far better

  • I hear two prodigies..seems like Lenny White is slacking off or is it Airto? No Airto's crunchin' ....Jinglin' too- you know he can sound just like a Frog and make great music out of a shoe- But Chick and Wayne really nailed that one.

  • Ain't Wayne GREAT?

  • dead silence. Peace when you close your eyes. So soothing. Not to be overthought, just let it take you somewhere blissful.
