its easier to cut them with scissors when thinning. Sometimes the roots of the two or three plants are intertwined and when trying to pull the whole root out will damage and disrupt the plant you are keeping in the soil!

Oh darn! I thought Thinning was taking out some of the plants by the roots and transplanting them 2 inches apart! I hope my Radishes don't die now!
