I would love for those who believe that all races are equal to tell me the reasoning behind their belief. It's certainly not based on science, as every single study that has ever been done in the subject would very much disagree with the notion that the races are equal. So, what is it? What I find most mindblowing is that they said 80% of the people did nothing. Only 20 out of 100 people choosing to speak up a situation as tense as that is not a good number. I think one of the reasons there's very little response is because This is a high-end store that usually has wealthy shoppers. I think the fact that study itself is trying to organize people who stood up into groups colored vs non-colored is form of ignorance that rely on racism. More logical would be to say, people with similarities are more likely to stand up for each other under equal circumstances.
I was in a loosely similar scenario -i was a bystander. I could not do anything for two reasons:
1. I wasn't there to witness the profiling. I was present only when the "victim" was defending herself. So i could not have known exactly what conspired. In retrospect I think i should've assumed that the profiling was true and the victim was not playing the race card.
2. I had my priorities (had to leave the library) and this wasn't a life and death situation.
I would walk away aswel, It's none of my business and that Black Lady can look after herself just as a While Lady can look after herself.
If she really felt like she was being targeted because of her nationality or whatever, then she could've took legal action. She doesn't need random people to stick up for her to prove they're not racist or anything..

What I find most mindblowing is that they said 80% of the people did nothing. Only 20 out of 100 people choosing to speak up a situation as tense as that is not a good number. I guess a larger number of people than one would hope are simply more concerned about avoiding a messy situation than stepping in. But it's the few that go the extra distance to actually chime in with some degree support for what happened that really sicken me.

They need to do a social experiment capturing the stupidity of whites that believe everyone should have historical amnesia because anything other makes them feel uncomfortable. Blacks get handouts? Most government assistance from welfare to food stamps to SSI to medicaid to subsidies and everything in between are majority white. Blacks have a higher crime rate and are more violent? Most of the incarcerated are in for non- violent offenses. That's not counting the fact that A)Latinos and blacks

We as a society and as individuals, though, have a responsibility to stand up to this kind of bullying and use our own free speech and property rights to fight back against it. Someone is being racist in your store, kick them out or fire them on the spot. A store is encouraging racism or has racist employees, spread the news around, shame them, boycott them.

I think one of the reasons there's very little response is because This is a high-end store that usually has wealthy shoppers. Such people usually don't get involved with public drama because they are conditioned throughout their high-society lives to keep their composure instead of allowing their tempers to flare vs people from a lower income stature.

Mostly by some youth but they kept calling them terrorists and telling them that "this isn't your country". Things I've never heard in America. I was in a loosely similar scenario -i was a bystander. I could not do anything for two reasons:
1. I wasn't there to witness the profiling. I was present only when the "victim" was defending herself. So i could not have known exactly what conspired. In retrospect I think i should've assumed that the profiling was true and the victim was not playing the race card.
2. I had my priorities (had to leave the library) and this wasn't a life and death situation.

In my year there were 5 non blacks, one being me and the other being my twin brother, im not white either im asian. But its not a coincident that the 5 non black people in the year were in top set all the time. Actually when we finished our GCSE's i was the one that got the highest marks out of everyone, i was the top, but compared to other schools im not really good
