If i were to purchase an iRacing membership today, how long would it take to get these requirements that would allow me to race this car provided i buy the Indycar? Ive played GTR2 and other reacing games for many years, but i dont want to have to race slow dinky cars, I wanna race just like this right away.
@canciaro Provided you are able to complete races at the lower levels with minimal incidents, it doesn't take too long to advance your license level to race the more advanced cars. It's mostly a matter of racing cleanly. Even the 'slower' cars are still challenging and fun. There are those with significant racing experience that continue to race in the lower series even though their license level is well beyond the requirements. Good luck!
@owensdalton In iRacing you may race in any of the official series they run, provided you have the content (car and track) purchased and you meet the license requirement, which for the more advanced series, typically requires racing cleanly with minimal incidents in lower series in order to build safety rating. They also allow creating or joining hosted sessions, or perform test/practice sessions for any car/track combination with the only requirement being owning the content.
@yamimakaiz No. I miss the old FFXI but after the changes Abyssea brought I have no desire to return, which is probably best so I have time for other activities. :)
