@Kevin2ks yeah i know what u mean, singles do count alot, there the ones that get u the most money, but sometimes in my opinion the real writtin thought out songs on the album, dont go far as much as a regular average song would, nowadays all we here is souljaboy, waka and gucci who arent even artists because they say the SAME THING EVERY RECORD ! just on a different beat..

the reason why i LOVE THIS ALBUM is because jay-z summarises the life of an actual american gangster if we watch any ''gansta'' film (scarface) you see how they start off with nothing get into the game BLOW UP becoming greedy and then there downfall and i believe jay-z really illustrated the different scenarios of each part with a song each song off the album describes a specific mood :D

I am very glad to hear that another person finally sees a story in an album.

Most definitely after listening to an album several times you think of a story after awhile, and how it is told throughout each track. Hell even the album artwork helps establish the theme. The entire album falls into a beautiful story to be made different by all who listen :D
