  • Lol he plays good but seriously his legs look so gay lmao xD

  • If I could play like that, I'd never leave the piano!

  • The only one to sell "out" all seats at Radio City. Saw him in '87. What...a...pisser.

  • Greatest of his time:))

  • Brillant pianist, lets leave out the language, the gay thing, and just enjoy the performance.

  • the greatest pianist and entertainer of all time, liberace lives on

  • What a showman. He's abolutely into it..

  • This is soooooooooooooooooo much better than any other human can do on the planet it's untrue.

  • wonderful.... he is the best pianist i have ever seen

  • Just started re-reading his autobiography. Man, this guy had a passion and a direction and talent -- and it took him to the top of the world. And on this song, he blazed it!

  • Holy shit Liberace! You awesome!

  • General George S. Patton. Ernest Hemingway. Theodore Roosevelt. Liberace.

    The. Fucking. MAN!

  • Who cares what Liberace did behind the privacy of his bedroom doors..!

it was what he has done publicly that made him who he was..

And like he always said........he laughed all the way to the bank.!

  • The man loved what he was doing and was fabulous at it. Classical music's loss was everyone else's gain when he changed his career course.

  • @SudoNimh I agree, you can tell he's having a ball. And that makes a huge difference.

  • Amazing and how relax he looks playing that is just stunning!

  • America's first nationally adopted clearly gay man. What a talent and showman he was!

  • Liberace to his brother George: "George has the piano tuner come yet?"

:I don't know Libby. But his eyes are glassy." Try and catch Billy Barty on the Spike Jones show doing his impersonation of Liberace on You Tube. Superhartline

  • He is so much fun to watch and listen to. <3

  • Amazing .Thanks for posting.A definitive version of this difficult piece. He was an incredibly talented pianist.I like the way he smiles to the camera whilst furiously playing the tune. A true star.

  • Graceline09 - I think Liberaces version was far superior than sergios. Liberace was flawless and his timing perfect. While Sergio is great as well, liberace was far superior and a much better entertainer.

  • The happiest entertainer I ever had the priviledge to watch. Week after week on the Liberace show, he would bring his positive spirit and upbeat personality to the little screen in our family room and we would all be feeling great by the end of the show. No one else could entertain like he did.

  • frig i can hardly see his fingers!

  • very nice!

  • The violinists are a 3D superimposed hologram...or maybe they're a product of animatronics like the ones you see at the Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln exhibit at Disneyland.

  • @Thrive7 In sane.

  • Where the heck did the violinists come from?

  • @huntermreece It was Liberace's brother George and some of the small orchestra members. They came from behind the stage !

  • this just HAS TO make you smile

  • how can he play like that and SMILE like that at the same time!?

  • Sa tir!!! - Gilles Gustave Bertrand

  • Did he have to pee ???

  • he was so rich.. but he deserved every single dollar. fantastic musician

  • He was so brilliant! His play was amazing so stop trying to make people watch someone else's video. By the way, Liberace was just soo sweet! Look at that smile. He was tooo cute. I would have loved to meet him! :-)

  • he doesnt really play the piano.............HE FUCKING OWNS IT, HE FUCKING ROCKS THE PIANO´S KEYS!!!!!!! so what if he was gay, hes a great fucking musician and thats what matters!

  • @qwtrerry He definitely wasn't intimidated by a grand piano.

  • @qwtrerry He wasnt gay..he was doing Marilyn Monroe at the Kennedy place

  • Faster than Maksim. xD

  • Daaaaaaaaaaaaamn!!!!!!!

  • hahahah im rolling on the floor looking at 1:35, look at him bouncing! what a cool guy !!

  • I love when he throws his hands up at the end. So cute!

  • .....and everyone thought Jules Holland was the first!!! - woops! Fantastic.

  • Who could not like this? I bet anything that JS Bach used to wink like that.

  • Thank you very much!!!Great!!!Fantastic!!!^))))))

  • wow - new appreciation for Liberace.

    That's showmanship! and talent...

  • I think not enough people remember who HE WAS!

  • haha i love how his fingers are moiving so fast the keys cant keep up with him :)

Liberace....wow is all i can say

    i love him!!!!!!!!

(and im a 15 year old girl) :D

  • Love it! He smiles the whole time!

  • Can anyone out there really offer a comparison as to Liberace that currently plays so many songs with such a wide range of style and pure talent? If so, I would like to learn who it would be. I think that this would be a tall order to say the least.

  • I always liked him. A fantastic showman and brilliant pianist.

  • gosh. mozart doesn't compare to him. ^_^

  • He was a fantastic pianist and a great comedian

  • WHAT?! Daaaammmmnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant even play the flight of the bumble bee without messing up on the intro! omg! :O this is amazing!!!!!

  • I was fortunate to have been Lee's conductor for his last 13 years as a performer. I'm still in awe of his piano artistry watching this and the many others videos on YouTube. And yes, he was as nice a person off stage as he was on.

  • Owned.

  • Thank you for putting this on YouTube. Brings back memories of my childhood watching on my parents Black and White Philco Brand TV.

  • My parents used to play his stuff on there record player/gramaphone,this is the 1st time i ever saw him and what he does/did/ but fkin hey!!!, how talanted, what a pianist, and what a showman, much respect to you sir!!!!! I wish I could play like you, I know I never will but you certainly have inspired me..........ya just dont get entertainers like this no more. :-(

  • Beautiful. He winks at us...that was his generous spirit. A showman but NEVER a show-off.

  • He was such a gifted & talented musician / performer. He was a real showman & loved to entertain an audience. He is missed in person no doubt but thankfully many of his renditions are posted on YouTube for people worldwide to enjoy thanks to the digital revolution~! See more of his BIO & details at FindAgrave doht cohm <click on Famous grave search. Rest In PEACE.

  • I wish my brother george was here

  • His fingers made that piano sing!! I wish I had a fraction of that talent! Really wishing I was able to see him in person!! Just imagine if he had a child or children.....

  • unbelievable. That's hot playin'

  • Holy shit.

  • Even better than B. Bumble and the Stingers' version of this! Liberace was truly a virtuoso.

  • This is fantastic

  • yo me he quedado parado totalllllllllll

  • HE'S GOT THAT CONCERTGRAND DANCING

  • wow

  • I wonder why TV isn't good like this anymore.....I would watch a show like this,

  • lol, if icould do that!! but i´m not so good like he is=(

  • Incredible play. I can only dream to be as good as this guy was. I wish he didn't have those violin players though! They add nothing to it but distraction.

  • Wow, that guy had charisma, charm, and talent coming out the wazoo.

  • He used his feet to keep time, they were his metronome. He was truely a great musian and showman. It will be a long time before someone like him comes along again.

  • I love Lee in the 50s

  • @MerleOberon I don't care what people said about his being gay etc. the man was a piano genius RIP LEE

  • @MyREDTAIL I'm not surprised, gay men are very talented! I wish the world would stop making gay seem like a bad thing! Especially back then, when even being black was seen as bad :( When will people learn!?

  • @Sebizzar Agreed. You know what, I think the people who bash others because they are different are jealous in reality.

  • @janeyrevanescence12 Exactly, either that or just plain ignorant >.<

  • @Sebizzar definitely

  • Liberace, you magnificent homo!

  • @Matt10670 Magnificent indeed!

  • Damn, he was good!

  • yeah baby!

  • See that? That's enthusiasm. Seems that there's a slight lack of this in the performing arts these days.

Also? I wish I could play piano like that. hehe.

  • The greatest, and smiles like it's a joke!!

  • Mr. Liberace what a fabulos performance

  • i could watch his hands all day

  • It is a real shame that the accompaniment is not doing very much; sure they are being "flamboyant", but rather than dressing they could actually be adding something! Great play from Liberace though.

  • Best version on youtube I've seen.

  • imagine what those fast fingers could do in bed *wink*

  • Best of the best!

  • C'mon...He is so tallented!I hope those people who make jockes about his... humm..."style" can play piano as well as he does. He was a genius.

  • Agreed,who cares what he did,he was a genius

  • /this is flawless

  • this fella's feet have a mind of their own!

  • @saltiboi so do his hands lol

  • @saltiboi 'tis what happens when you play boogie :P

  • hiarious when he looks right into the camera.

  • white boy has rizzum

  • Now there's a pianist with perfect technical capacity and who enjoys the whole thing, put his whole body into it. I am so sick of seeing technically wunderkinds and so called virtuosos who neither understand not care about the music. Man he could hit that barrel!

  • I inherited some '78's of his from my grandparents, recorded when he was extremely young, and still using both of his names (His first name is something unpronounceably Polish; the nickname "Lee" hadn't been adopted yet), and he' was playing Chopin and Beethoven flawlessly. Wisely, he decided shortly thereafter to entertain (never at the expense of his virtuosity, as you can see), and when criticized for this career choice, or for his rumored lifestyle, he "cried all the way to the bank."

  • He's...... insane........

  • wow....talk about fast playing, im waiting for the keys to catch on fire

  • Lol every time he looks at the camera he makes me laugh haha, He makes it looks like its soo funn. I wanna try this piece now.

  • I love this:D 5/5

  • I've seen this guy as early as the mid fifties when I was a kid and knew he was good, but, somehow, after hearing this cut, I'm realizing he wasn't just good, he was great. What a great, great, piano player. Unbelievable. Marc Trainor.

  • Great virtuosity--style, fire. I always admired his brilliance and warmth.

  • This particular song is very difficult because of the 1/32 notes almost throughout the piece and yet he always made it look effortless and he truly was having fun. It was just spot on. A true talent!

  • We tend to forget, because of all the camp, just how good this guy was - brilliant.

  • he looks like hes having so much fun :) 5/5

  • I grew up in the 1960,s and I always liked him,

this is still amazing video music.

  • This has to be my favorite arrangement of this piece

  • Mom used to have us watch him back in the 60,s when i was a kid(t.v was black and white...we had 1 channel)guess we had no choice...heh) I never appreciated him till i got older.Look at him...he smiles at the camera and plays like it was nothing for him.

  • Such incredible speed and technical skill. A masterly performance full of drive and style. Thank you for posting. Paul.

  • What A Fucking Scale!!!!!!!!!!

    o.O

  • Porof that classical training is great for the chops. Accurate and right in time, too. Not to say it's the only way or anything. Check out his footwork. lol.

  • hes creepy and hes kooky- hilarious and spooky! but he out rocks jerry lee lewis ( another thing not normally found in nature).....................harp

  • Whoa...........

  • That wasn't as good as the Matthew Ball version of Bumble Boogie on YT.

  • Kenp3L, They are both top notch.

  • Such amazing talent!!

  • go liberace!

  • Who's Liberace? I don't ever remember him being on TV.

being born in 1988, never heard of him.

  • i like to call him the Modern Day Mozart.

  • But he hasn't composed anything...

he is genius and gifted as few each generation are, but has never composed anything...so the comparison to famous composers is difficult.

  • Liberace actually did write 5 songs. They were: "Rhapsody by Candelight", "Sincerely Yours", "I'm Loved", "I Don't Care" and "Never say Goodbye, say Ciao".

  • Actually, I think a comparison to Elton John would be more apt.

  • your loss i was born in 1987 and i know of him you should look him up more he is fantastic!! also look up chico marx and the marx brothers there comedy and music are genius

  • he's also quite famous for being homosexual...

  • Love it! I saw this on TV when I was a child. :)

  • Wow!

  • Liberace was a true virtuoso,

    and what a showman !

  • wow that was terrificly wonderful

  • Simply the best....'nuff said.

Last year I saw a video of Liberace in white dong another version of the Bumble Bee Boogie and havnt seen it since. it was with a full orchasra and was dead perfect! Anyone else see it?

  • WOW!! I'm in complete awe! If this clip doesn't prove that Liberace was the greatest pianist ever, then I don't know what does!

  • Thanks Showmanlee, keep up the good work, Superb!

  • Eat your heart out, Jack Fina! You've been outdone by the Master of Boogie Woogie!! And who could even come close to his 16 to the bar boogie?!!!

  • it' fantastic!
