It is a dog... They did a genetic map of it and found out that it was a hybrid of a wolf and a coyote. They can't explain the skins texture, the longer hind legs, extra skin on it's head or ass, or the fact that it has 2 nipples running down the side instead of 3 like a normal coyote other than that they think it might be a genetic mutation in the hybrid. And it does not live off of blood, it would have to have special organs for that such as the vampire bat.

Looks like a Xoloitzcuintli (pronounced show-low-eats-queently) or Mexican hairless dog, to me. They come in 3 sizes and it's possible it was stray or feral. Xolo's are often the winners of "Ugliest Dog" contests, especially as they get older. Anyhow, that's what I think it is. Research Xolo's on-line and see what you think.

Looks like a Xoloitzcuintli (pronounced show-low-eats-queently) or Mexican hairless dog, to me. They come in 3 sizes and it's possible it was stray or feral. Xolo's are often the winners of "Ugliest Dog" contests, especially as they get older. Anyhow, that's what I think it is. Research Xolo's on-line and see what you think.

@moiradrake I'm pretty sure you're right. Researchers have dismissed the Xolo theory because they have tested the D.N.A. of dead chupacabras and say that it doesn't match that of a dog's, but neither does the D.N.A. of a Xolo.

@moiradrake It's actually a Dox. Scientinst in Brazil have done testing and came to a conclusion it is a fox and deer bred together.

@ubeaste a Dox is a dog and a fox, not a deer. Deers and foxes are completely different species, it would be impossible for them to mate. And actually, there are no proven cases of foxes in dogs mating either, it's simply a hypothetical animal. There are several unsubstantiated reports fo dog fox hybrids, but no proven cases.

@moiradrake well wouldnt have died quickly by itself just cause it looks like adog breed doesnt mean thats it dogs actually cant survive without people youd think that a taxerdermist would know if its a dog whats it doing in texas anyway if its native to mexico

It's a Xoloitzcuintle... Or Xolo. It's one of the first recorded AKC. Some refer to it as a hairless mexican dog. They're very rare!!! A puppy usually sells for around $2,500.00 USD! Oh - one more thing... STOP KILLING THEM YOU FUCKING ASSHOLES!!!

@xXxprimevalxXx that's the result of skipping English classes and tying in the dark, the word is species and not the one we add in the food to make it taste better. what i was trying to say is, the El chupacabra, could be a rare species that we don't know yet,how often people have seen them,not too many times, but the one south American people are talking about is creature ghost or Alien look like, with mystical power not the dog, canine creature that has been shot or trapped

looks like a breed of dog not widely known called the Mexican Hairless dog, do a google search and open your eyes. possibly crossed with a wild dog or coyote.
