I travel on the 29 to Pismo Beach. And live in a host familiy there. My question is, is Pismo Beach the right place in C.A. ?

I Loved the spyglass outside dinning,and room with a bistro set on the balcony at sunset!!They have resident kitties there too!!!Signs read do Not Feed Cats!!On dinning Patio,but one I slipped him a tiny piece of lobster LOL !!!!

i really like the pier and the restaurants surrounding it :) i go to pismo a lot and i love the caves as well! Overall Pismo Coast Village is my choice if you have a trailer :) ts a very homey feeling everyone there is so nice

i live in fresno i go there almost every weekend i love going to the mission inn and the cliffs and another good place to eat at is the splash cafe!

@CaliforniaTravelTips yes there is fish and chips HUGE hamburgers clam chowder the best and very good pepsi i recommend go early they have a big line in the afternoon

@smoshworld Im from fresno too, im about to go there for the second time, the last time i went we spent the night on the beach and left in the morning, what is there to do there during the day? This video doesn't really help much since it talks about hotels.

I lived there for about a year and honestly it's nothing short of paradise. I used to hit this bar next to the beach...forget the name, but there was always a big biker crowd. Try to stear clear of the methamphetamine freaks that unfortunately inhabit the area.

I am from Scotland and I have visited Pismo every year since 1998 - I think. I love the area and have had great times there. We love to go to Scotties, Tai Taley, McLintocks and of course we love seeing our lovely family and chilling!!

omg i went there a couple of weeks back, and the place is awesome(like in wery nice :P) I also want to live there - veronica, u should have mentioned the lighthouse suites! I staid there and it is just gorgeous.. I think its located behind the spyglass, and it also has an ocean wiew.. If some of u guys live in the US or california i would get in my car right now and start my life from scratch with a surfing board :P But its a littlebit harder when u have to travel 12 hours by plane first :(

sorry for the late feedback... i cant really say i remember, but as i recall some place really near the light house.. we only went like 3 places, but its some time ago, i cant remember.... there are lots of diners "in the town" also..

Anywhere down by the pier you can get all types of cuisine. Not only that lots of shops and of course the beach. The Cliffs is a wonderful high end restaurant and along that frontage road are many beautiful hotels with great ocean views. Have fun to all who travel there.

I grew up in this area. Pismo is one of the most beautiful and scenic towns in the county. Absolutely wonderful dining and great hotels to stay. And of course u cant forget the sand dunes... So many good times there.

We stayed in our motorhome for a week at Pismo Beach right on the beach. What a great time we had! We were able to take our Jeep right on the beach in Oceana state park. Now that was such a blast and stop by Splash for a great lunch to go and take to the beach!!

Great place to visit!

That sounds like so much fun! We were only there for about a day, so we didn't make it to Oceana state park. We hope to return again and film the dunes.

Splash Cafe has the best Clam Chowder I have ever had before! They also serve wonderful Ahi Tuna Burgers, Salads, Fish & Chips and the standard take out food but the seafood was awesome!

We did go to the Cracked Crab and enjoyed a wonderful dinner but the Clam Chowder athe the Splash Cafe was better.

At lunch be prepared for a line out the door and down the street but worth it!

Love this town!! - Been here many times. The only challenge is avoiding the fog banks that can come ashore in a matter of minutes.
