There is something to said about the lack of audio. Interesting because u designed it as I imagine in sync with the track's timing, so there is a coherent pace to it without the audio playing, and one is actually left with an provocative silence forcing u negotiate these images. very beautiful. nicely done, good to see another archi using film successfully, and not in bad taste.
Looking for stuff on Delueze, I came across this film. I loved it. Are you involved in more of this sort of projects?? Will you be making something new soon, perhaps?
This is very interesting. I was searching for Chris Marker stuff and I stumbled on your movie.
I thought it was a Chris Marker short and I really loved it. The usage of the sound elements was clever without trying to be clever. The montage was quite hypnotic and rythmic. Bravo!!
PS: could you please tell me what was the last piece of music that was playing?
Is the invisiblity of the city illustrated by your nostalgia? Or is one to assume that the pastiche of collective imagery and music is the realization of the melancholic social self?
The first part with the man fugure was made using flash. Later I learnt how to use After Effects and worked with this software for 5 years professionally, much more possibilities... and of course, I love Saul Bass' works ! :o) Thanks for your comment !
Hi, great sequence, a lot of good ideas in this. I am doing something similar for my Graphic Design course, we have to come up with a movie title sequence using flash. Saul Bass is one of the people we are studying.

The last piece of music was Pascal Comelade's Love too Soon (Piano Version) from the "Swing Slang Song" EP.

Superbe vidéo. Bravo pour ces images et cette atmosphère très étrange. Vous avez le sens de l'image et du son.
