Hello friend, I loved the video, congratulations !
Dj am to 5 years and I use a BCD3000 with virtual dj 7.0, would exchange for a contralodar Hercules, I'm in doubt between the MK4 or RMX, cove who is an expert, could you tell me the main differences between them?
@2BRDJS RMX would be a better choice. MK4 is smaller and I use mine as a backup. I'm not sure what you mean by "hang", but I haven't had major problems with my RMX.
Many refer to this as a ''toy" or "entry level" controller. While the price makes it a good choice for the beginner, it has all the features needed for the MOBILE dj - in particular, it is small, light, comes with a built-in case/cover, and is therefore supremely easy to move about. I have used heavier (metal) controllers and they are better suited to permanent installations and use by PERFORMANCE djs who need every bell and whistle. And at this price, it's easy to carry a spare.
Hey. i just got this console about 2 days and have been playing around with it and i don't no how to play 2 songs at the same time which is the really fustrating. hopefully you can answer this for me
@signatureentertain When i try and play a song when i there is another song playing it switches. Also i think it might be because i dont have speakers
@josemi314 As far as control functions, the units are very similar. The primary difference is: the mk4 has a sound card section, while the e2 does not. If you can describe more of what you want use and how you want to use it, maybe I can make a more informed suggestion for you.
@josemi314 I would recommend the MK4. Mixing depends on the ability to cue, and that's built-in with the MK4. The e2 can also support this, but it takes more steps to configure, and it sounds like doing this the easy way is a better direction for you.
@korea92 It comes bundled with Virtual D.J. LE, which is abgradeable to VDJ Pro, at a heavily discounted cost, if you're interested. Our controllers also work with most softwares that allow assignable MIDI or HID control, including Traktor Pro.
Hey goodday sir :) Im going to purchase same one and having one question:is it possible to prelisten tracks u loading to the decks with ur headphones without affecting the mix playing for the public ONLY with the primary soundcard on pc or laptop and this gear?
@VolandOD The MK4 has an integrated soundcard section - both audio sources (master and cue) will come out of the MK4. the master ouput goes to your amplifier and speakers, or powered speakers, while the headphone output allows you to cue your choice of the other deck, the playing deck, or a mix of the two. The answer is: yes, and in its' most direct configuration, your laptop's soundcard isn't even used.
Hey goodday sir :) Im going to purchase same one and having one question:is it possible to prelisten tracks u loading to the decks with ur headphones without affecting the mix playing for the public ONLY with the primary soundcard on pc or laptop and this gear?
@GameLikeGunz No clue. @livelongpartyharder The MK4 is an "all in one" unit, while the e2 doesn't have a sound card section. Without knowing how you plan to use it, I can't really answer what would be better for you.

@livelongpartyharder Very cool.. I meant in terms of setup. The primary difference between the e2 and the MK4 is: the MK4 has a sound card, while you'd have to supply your own with the e2. Does that make sense to you? (if not I can elaborate). Either work great with Virtual D.J., and can be mapped to work with Traktor Pro.
@signatureentertain Yeah, i know exactly what it means haha, i had to explain it to my friend over face book. I am getting the mk4. I just wanted to know what set them apart ($70 difference) thankyou. :D
@xannut I believe it can be, yes. My shortcoming and hesitation here is not knowing the entire Traktor line of products and which ones support which methods of control. I know that Traktor Pro can do what you're asking, but I'm not sure about Scratch Pro. I would contact Native Instruments and ask about HID and/or MIDI control options with Traktor Scratch. If NI tells you Scratch can be mapped, the MK4 can be mapped to it.
@wirelessnorway I believe the behavior of the lights is not adjustable, but the other things you wish to change can all be changed within the Pro version of Virtual D.J.
@wirelessnorway With the LE edition you cannot change the skins. I'm pretty sure LE users cannot access them, either, although I could be mistaken. Pro users can.
I'm not at my office today, I'll have to get back to you on the specs. I have mine set to 44.1, but I think they're adjustable. Latency is set to "auto" in the LE Version, but can be adjusted to as low as 1ms in VDJ Pro, provided your computer can support it. Asio is supported.

is the scratching the same way as the rmx? because the on the rmx if you hold the analog wheel in one spot the track will continue to play. just wanted to know if it's the same for the mk4.
@grrrindin Yes. In order to "hold" in the way you're asking would require a touch-sensitive jog wheel. Neither the RMX nor the MK4 have that. I'm told that feature adds to the cost significantly. This feature may be part of future controllers from Hercules.
@RAWisJericoDie2te I have yet to use it with Traktor myself, but I'm told it works quite well with it. You can download a TKS file to map the MK4 to Traktor, or create your own.
@sjp54 Yes, Virtual D.J. LE doesn't support timecode control. Virtual D.J. Pro does. If you upgrade from the LE version, you can save HALF on the cost of Virtual D.J. Pro.
@signatureentertain If you click on mac software then music creation in the online apple store you should be able to see it for around $49.95. I'd look it up on youtube, it seems pretty decent for the money anyway :) Hope this helps.
@tinithomas The loops are preset to 1, 2, 4, and 8 beats on buttons 1, 2, 3, and 4. If you use the upgraded Virtual D.J. Pro, you can change the button assignments.
is there any way to decrease the size of the loop on the mixer? like, set a 1 beat loop, then make it progressively smaller with a rotary? or would you need to grab your mouse and hit the left arrow on the software
@djfaze1200 ABSOLUTELY, the "guts" for video mixing is dependent on the computer. This controller, while small and inexpensive will do this task just fine.
@DjEvolux Apples and Oranges. Look at the MK4's soundcard specs, and you'll see it's excellent quality, but keep in mind the difference between CDs (full wave files) versus .mp3 files, which are lossy files. The differences between full wave files played on a CDJ versus on an MK4 would be minimal. If you're playing a 96kbps mp3 (for example), it's going to sound poor played on an MK4, but also poor on as an mp3 on a CDJ. USE GOOD QUALITY FILES!
