I love your videos. I have spore myself, and my species is the Minaro. We are a peaceful Shaman people (although violence can be very fun sometimes ;D) and our spaceship is the red-winged, white-bodied Fire Angel, inspired somewhat by your myth description of your ship.

you should find a planet that in time might be as powerful as you & destroy thare moust powerful stuff so when they get stronger they'll fear & obay you

Unfortunately Spore doesn't really take anything that complex into account when determining a species' disposition to you.

Even if you have blown up all their other planets and are hovering right above their last remaining colony and ask for peace they'll refuse.

More misadvertised, really. A lot of what they said the game was going to be about, it wasn't.

I mean, I still had a heck of a lot of fun with Spore (if my 108 Spore videos wasn't a hint to how much I enjoy the game : P), I'd just would've had more fun if it was more of a Sim game than a mini-game collection.

Anyway, yeah, I see what you mean. But I think Spore fits the way it is. What do you mean by Sim game, do you mean a sims game but with spore creatures? I dunno, hat wouldn't have stages like the current spore and it would be a bit too simmy...

I just think that if they added the aquatic and city stage, and expanded the other stages, especially tribe, it would have been an orgasmic experience. For me anyway.

No, originally, they were talking about how the Creatures in Tribe would have personalities, and how your Creature's behaviours and stats and civilization would derive from your playstyle, and in Space stage everything was a lot more slow and establishing colonies and intergalatic relations was more than just a few fetch-quests.

Basically, I was looking at all the Sim-City games, and the earlier Sim-Life and Sim-Earth games, and hoping it'd be more like that.

Well, the thing is, I engineered a custom race for the purposes of uplifting and allying. I put them just a bit aways from my own systems so that'd they'd be great allies. Thing is, they need planets to expand to, and many of those nearby planets were full of tribes.

Rather than uplifting some who-cares-about-you tribe species, I just built my own race to uplift, and killed their competition before they were even out of the growing vats.

Nah, I mostly just come up with the thing to write as I'm recording it--I keep a running narrative in my head almost all the time when playing, really. Making up little stories about Spore is the most fun part of it, for me.
