@toddster63 I agree... but ive been saving dogs from death row and rehoming them to good families for years, but sometimes I look at a breed & wish I could have one. I am buying a frenchie in December, & it is from an AKC registered breeder, I've checked vet & customer references & I've seen the stud & bitch, & I've seen her place and her dogs are very well taken care of, I recommend buying from a breeder do the same to keep business from puppy mills & please don't buy from a pet store they lie.

@Spinjunky411 if your Frenchie has a lot of European bloodlines or Russian bloodlines they are a lot bigger than our Frenchies here in the US. Here AKC standard is not to exceed 28 pounds.

@Spinjunky411 .... That's why you have to shop VERY carefully for Frenchies, and be prepared to spend the bucks. If you don't mind tall spindly Frenchies that look more like Boston Terriers or shrunken Boxers; or if yoiu don't mind HUGE Eastern European bloodlines, like 30-50 pounds!, then by all means go out and buy the first $1500 Frenchie you find. HOWEVER, if you want a nice and small and not-nosey Frenchie, get on a waiting list and be prepared to spend $2500-$5000.
