@ arcanekrusader - As far as I understand, a Judge is forbidden to side with any party, of course that’s not to say they don’t, most represent the local authority/state but will not, or rather, dare not admit to this, as they would then be proven to have taken a side, knowing that a judge is supposed to be impartial !

As far as I'm aware, it is forbidden for the Judge to side with the defendant in cases such as these.
