When you break a bone, the mend is usually stronger and bigger than the surrounding areas - that can cause issues. Bone planers, over time, lathe down the extra mass, and correct it to the DNA blueprint for that area of skeletal structure.
In much the same way, the Avatar BluePrint Codes of Life are fractal reflections of our DNA, we are the bone planers, and the break in the bone is the darkness that we wish to transmute into harmony, the dis-ease that we wish to balance with Love.
