Well said! I completely agree. Considering what else we've spent so much on..you'd think we'd be able to somehow pay for health care. The only way one would disagree is if they didn't fully understand health care inequality and it's effects on the poor. And they can't say "we worked our way up and earned it" cuz somebody has to have the lower paying jobs and status...we can't all be rich..

And fellow Democrats in Congress. Medicare? That was CREATED and thought of by Democratic elites in Congress and LBJ. There was hardly a huge "movement" for Medicare among seniors in the 1960s. All these welfare programs came from Democratic elites who came up with the ideas and pushed them, not public movements.

I have always supported repealing the 22nd Amendment. it serves no useful purpose and was only passed by Republicans who hated the fact that the country loved FDR so much.
Without the 22nd Amendment, Clinton would have won a third term in a landslide and 9-11 would never have happened.
Without the 22nd Amendment, Bush would have had to face re-election during the disastrous economy he created.
The 22nd Amendment is worse than useless.
