  • That was the gayest thing I have EVER seen. Horrible performance made much. much worse by the 3 fucking clowns coming on stage at the end.

  • John Mayer, Gwen Stefani, and Steven Tyler making more of a clusterfuck out of a shitty performance.

  • haha I love how they could have ended the song there, after Stew broke his snare head and Sting had to do the "one... two... three... four" refrain out his ass. I bet he was fucking with Stew there, all in good fun, of course. They always gave each other shit.

  • Every single day and every word you say

    Every game you play

Every night you stay, I'll be watching you

Oh can't you see you belong to me?

  • look at how unhappy andy is when Watt Tyler touches his guitar making the cool noise but also making andy him miss the start of the outro...

  • Simplified drum set compared to what Stewart usually plays...one less tom-tom.

  • sounds like shit but stewart copeland kicked ass

  • When did it brake?

  • jeeze that sucks

  • Holy crap did that suck! And Sting, in a moment of madness, counts off 1-2-3-4 to keep it going!

    The sound is horrible.

Great song...but this one should be put in a capsule and sunk to bottom of the ocean.

  • they deserve it..well done..

  • suck my balls

  • Stewart must of hated the moment that skin broke ,theres not a worst feeling then braking your snare skin during a live performance

  • agreed its the worst...i take 2 snares with me now

  • Stewart Copeland did fantastic. I didn't care for Sting's singing and he should've used the double bass like in the original. As for the others that came up and sang, I didn't hear them.

  • one funny thing I noticed, at 4:15 you can see the batterhead of his snare drum is shattered, at 4:45 (30 seconds later) you can hear the snare drum clearly again. Also around the end you can see that the snaredrumhead look ok. This was a really quick switch of snaredrums, in the middle of a song. WOW!

  • @DrumAndreas Think he could rotate snare or someone else might have brought to him another one

  • Thanks. When they need a sound engineer I will have them look you up.

  • i see steven tyler

  • he also played with acdc that night

  • You can't blame them. They've gotten old. Obviously, they're not as good as they used to. But Sting still sounds great, Copeland is still an awesome drummer, and Summers is still as precise as ever. I think the performance was great!

  • Steve Copelands snare drum skin busts...no1s seen that??????omg

    4.13

i dnt think it was a terible performance, i just dnt think they were fully ready enough 4 the gig ( lill more rehersal n done somethin with the rythem guitar lol).

  • hah yeah i saw the snare drum bust.

  • god jul

  • god jul

  • this shit sounds terrible way under reherssed

  • I agree that this isn't the greatest but you got to remember after almost 20 years of not playing with each other its hard to recreate what once was and always will be some of the best music of all time.

  • they redeemed themselves on the world tour, though

  • he mustve been sick or summin

  • I love this song, but the sound it's kind of crappy....

  • lol ...a concert always spoils a song u heard on a radio

  • not at all,its been almost 20 years since they dont play with each other if you where a musician you would understand.

  • I think it's a great song but the sound engineer totally fucked up. And the guitar solo seems to be bad played to.

  • Im a guitarist my self, and I think it is really a shame about the sound of Andy's guitar. Doesn't fit in a all. I am a very serious Police fan, but this is very poor I think. I recommend the Montreal 1983 performance, it is really a good Police performance.

  • that hurt.

  • the police hadnt played in 20 years, no rehearsal, of course it sounds like shit. they sound tight right now. have seen them 5 times on this tour. plan to see them at least 3 more times.

  • shoot ur jus stealin tickets

  • shoot ur jus stealin tickets

  • Horrible and I am the biggest fan of this band. What happened here is many years of not playing together and sting trying to sound like a black woman.

  • yea.....i mean the dont sound that goood in this performance

  • Gwen and the famous singers from other groups ruined it

  • in the end, are they all singing the same lyrics?

  • they were a hell of a lot better than this when i saw them on tour last.

A bit out of practice here! Stewart still great though!

and yeh...LOL at 4:14. GO Stewart!!!

  • stewart is a drummer with amazing talent that most people don't really get to see that often! his technique is proper and his style is one-of-a-kind!

  • AC/DC IS OVERATED

  • nah mate, people say that cos try to find excuses. AC/DC have never wanted beat everyone thy just do their own thing! ya know? there not resposable for people like you! there not over rated! its people like you who make them seem overated! watch a doco on them, it may change yah opinion on them and possibly introduce you to a new aspect of rock.

  • Stewart Copeland is GOD

  • @mervotheperv Pagan piece of crap.

  • sounds shit. nice song though.

  • the drums doesnt sound right here...and the guitar is sloppy.

  • great song!!!

  • I have attended these events before, the reason Gwen Stefani is performing with she was a keynote speaker to do an introduction speech. It is part of the tradition of the MHOF that the person to do the induction also performs with the other groups.

  • What the hell is doing Gwen Stefani with THE POLICE ???? Someone should kick her from there. I hate when another musician plays with The Police. The Police doesn't need any other musician cause The Police is the perfect band of the world and his sound is unique. And Gwen Stefani doen't exists comparing her with Police.

  • watch at 4:14, Stewart Copeland broke his snare head.

    he hit so hard!

  • this is nothing compared to what i saw yesterday live on the police reunion tour!! gaawd i hate gwen

  • oh my god, you are not the king of all whites...you are the king of all assholes

  • sounds very raw, thats a rare scene

  • wait a minute i just realized something, R'N'R Hall of fame...why the fuck was Gwenn Stefani there?

  • wow that was one of the worst performances ive ever seen by a popular band...when sting started it back up at 4:20 (haha 4:20 what a coincidence) i almost laughed...wtf was john mayer playing? why does gwenn stefani sound like a fucking...thats just it, she sounds like a fucking...steven tyler should have sang the whole thing. and sting should have put the bass down, listen to how horrible he is at 2:02, you want to stand out but not like that lol.

  • Man Stuart Copeland plays hard, or tunes his snare too tight...note the busted head towards the end, and he plays the snare hits on a tom...classic.

  • Gwen Stefani and John Mayer should be shot dead for ruining this!!!!!!! Steven Tyler should get parole

  • Pure shit! tha's f**kin' aweful!!

  • I agree. It's a pretty simple song and they can't play it well at all. Who are the clowns that gave this performance 4 or 5 stars? It's so bad that Sting starts introducing everyone and their brother to distract people from how bad he sounds. And the part with John Mayer and Gwen Stefani makes it go from bad to f'ing embarassing.

  • shut up u white supremacist

  • I'm not a white supremacist! My name is a complete joke. It is a take on the King of All Blacks from Howard Stern. I hate racists!

  • who are these guys on either side of gwen stefani?

  • steven tyler and john mayer

  • thx

  • steven tyler in white

  • No, you fuckin fag.

  • uea, i agree. stewart nailed it... but sting and andy sounds a bit off..

don't hold it against them.. when this was recorded they probably hadn't played together for a very long time.

  • acoustic basses do not have pick up's built in, most acoustic guitars now adays are acoustic electric meaning there is a pick up built in it but basses usually half to have either a pickup put in it or a microphone. but about this song i thought it sucked, sting (among all the guest singers) sounded like they where way out of tune and in some lost key that no ones ever herd of. lmao stewart split his snare head wide open lol.

  • I'm one of their biggest fans but, something about Andys sound that disturbs me. He doesn't have the original sound and I think he just doesn't fit anymore. Stewart and Sting are dead on.

  • why do they have to change the song? Just sing it like the original.

  • I could not agree more! Sting has been playing a long for to long!! Just stop trying to make the song something is not.. It's just really simple! I love Sting's solo work also... but don't mix it... It might have been an idea to practice a little too..

  • andy sounds drunk and sting sounds like a fag child... piss poor effort and stewart is always creative i didnt like this :(

  • i hate this version!!the original is cool but this is shit!!

  • i liked this song on string bass with a pickup on it

  • dont all basses have a pickups -_-

  • most string basses dont have pickups on them, watch the original music video, and watch the stray cats bass players bass

  • uummmm.....whats a pick up?

  • its what makes the sound signals in an electric guitar or bas or whatever.

  • Acoustic basses don't have pickups however, in order to play them live or amplify the sound, you have to have a pickup to channel the sound to the amp. Most acoustic guitars and basses have pickups these days including the standups that Sting uses live. Electric basses naturally all have pickups.

  • lol its Every breath you take or i'll be missing me? -.-

  • This versions better it's the orginal

  • this version sucked

  • ??? Sorry to say that, but I really dont like this

    version! Doesnt work!

  • that sucked. love the song, but that performance stunk in my opinion.

  • Hey NunoMullen unless you perform a backwards somersault whilst juggling 18 sticks of fire your head will turn into a rubber duck. The song is good but this performance is not.

  • Beautiful song!

  • Indeed, Copelands snare does break, but still plays on! The Police are getting back together and playing at Fenway Park! I got the best seats in the house! Cost enough too!

  • lol im going to one in NY! ITS AWESOME!

  • Sting has to be sooo tired of this song, if he plays it a little different from time to time it's understandable.

Why does Andy's guitar sound so awful though? It sounded much better at the Grammys recently. Much more sustain and clarity.

I's rather hear Stewart play only his Hi Hat than hear many drummers play with a full kit. lol

  • I love this song but it was better before, when The Police was still a punk-rock band ...

Here, it's like if Sting has forgotten how to play the song .

  • awesome

  • hahah...dbest!

  • ya Stewart Copeland hits his drums really hard, its just how he plays, he is amazing still they all are.

  • Actually, Stewart Copeland is known for having his techs make his drumheads REALLY tight. So in a concert situation, it's easy to break.

  • Has Stewart done this sort of thing back then?

  • yeah, it looks like the snare head broke at around 3:39. you can see his reaction. And at the end of the song, you can see that the snare is replaced.

  • wow dude, the drummer broke his head

  • Always the best ...
