I should have seen this or done more research before I joined YTB several years ago. I lost thousands just keeping up the travel website. Not to mention, I lost valuable time attending meetings and hosting travel meetings which people attended, but were smart enough not to be bought in, like I was. My advice, avoid YTB!!
Excellent advise. Very nice. Here is a perfect statement. "YTB Lawsuit is not the first and won't be the last. All major companies will go through it and if your company hasn't gone through it yet - pray for the problem, otherwise you aren't building your dream."
I love how you compared business to weather:) It really is a perfect example. I myself am from Tornado Alley (Oklahoma) and it only made sense to have plans in case of disaster. Same thing in business. Things can become quite turbulent in business and people should go into business realizing that. Thank you so much for you comment :)
You are so full of pearls of wisdom. Unfortunately we are not blessed (well the majority of us are not blessed) with psychic capabilities. So, it's important to always create backup strategies. After all, business is a lot like the weather. Both change at a moments notice. While we can't for tell things like Tornadoes we can prepare ourselves for their arrival. Same with business, we can't tell when a business is going to run into complicated issues (especially those of a legal nature)
but we can prepare for them nevertheless. It's always to take those vital steps to prepare for the unexpected. After all, if you live in a place where Tornadoes are known to occur, then common sense would dictate that you should either purchase a home with a basement or if that's not a viable choice have a shelter created. Same with business, you always need at least a plan b (plans c and d couldn't hurt either). Unfortunately people make the mistake of putting all their eggs in one basket
and that spells disastrous for your financial success. So, take what Alicia has unselfishly shared with you and apply it to your present situation it will save yourself from a lot of problems down the road.
