This is the same woman that decided to cut $1.3 million from the NYPD, thus calling for the elimination of the Cadet Corps, the organization I am currently seeking employment with to begin my career in law enforcement. Christine Quinn has lived long enough to know that homophobia is a deeply ingrained prejudice that has flourished in this country for a very long time and it isn't going to go away easily. It's going to take A LOT of patient education of people about sexual orientation NOT being a choice, and its going to take A LOT of eradicating of old stereotypes.
