You'll see that very thing when I run into the Hunter Ing. I didn't expect it either, it just spontaneously combusted (What else is new) and I thought, "Hmm, works for me!"
Well the whole ammosystem makes sense since it's not a chozobased weapon system so they aren't as highly evolved as the chozo in that kind of stuff. What doesn't make sense though is that beams are made of energy blasts and there's no way that energy blasts need ammo.
Actually the Luminoth are about the same as the Chozo when it comes to technology. They also met in space at one point and shared their knowledge, which is probably the only reason Samus can use their stuff in the first place; it's similar technology to what the Chozo made, so the suit had an easy time integrating it.
As for the ammo issue, the Power Suit probably isn't capable of generating mass-quantities of Light and Dark energy, which is what the beams in MP2 use.
@Groundlord but in metroid prime 3 corruption when you get the nova and hazard shield both of space pirate origin the power suit has no problem on assimilate the upgrades
@Groundlord obviosly the hazard shield do not use ammo but if you are seing that the luminot has practicaly the same tecnology from the chozo how is that the same tecnollogy has limited capabilities ( limited ammo ) and the nova beam being from space pirate origin has unlimited ammo
All the Arm Cannon has to do to make the Nova Beam is modify the frequency of the shots.
And Chozo and Luminoth tech might be compatible, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're going to be able to work together perfectly all of the time.
@Groundlord well the nova beam in essence is and ad on so regardless that is from space pirate origin or not is practicaly is the power beam whit the plasma beam together so ....... but the dark and light beam has to use power to work properly .......... i conffused myself xD
Ah yes! That thing didn't seem like a common item to me. Figured it'd be a good idea to scan it before the game ended up screwing me on some random obscure 1 of a kind scan.
No there's no neutral form, and if there is then it doesn't count.
if you mean neutral as in they way they were before you shot them, then that's what happens when you shoot it with the light beam. I'm pretty sure you'll come across more (when you're getting the sky temple keys, that's usually when I pick up missed things...)
mmm, rambling... tastes like chicken... (who altered my tastebuds!)

The light beam is like a mixture of the wave and plasma beam judging on shape and fire.

Lol silly quady. Shoulda checked the whole dark temple that you could access at the moment.

I dunno if you mentioned this, but the supercharged crystal can insta-kill dark enemies. Useful for fighting Hunter Ing.

@METROIDROCKSXP98
The Hazard Shield doesn't use ammo, and all the Nova Beam is is a high-frequency beam. The Light and Dark Beams use a special form of energy as ammo.

So, the light beam should make the defense area (the area where you don't get infested with dark junk) run longer, right?
MapleAwesome12 2 years ago
I'm pretty sure it makes enemies vaporize when they touch it, and it lasts longer, i could be wrong though, i rage quit about a year ago.

That thing never appears in the game ever again. It's a pretty good thing you remembered to scan it.

What object be you referring to?
Quadraxis14 2 years ago
That Ing Webtrap you scanned at 9:30. It's the only one in the game.

@Redfordcrate I hated that. I hated it SOOOO much.

I thought the Light beam was like the wave beam?
Except it doesn't suck
lnc0 2 years ago
No. Those web ing things only appear on those doors, and when the fight ends, they're gone for good.

Woah, my comment died! anyways, as a logbook scan, (both ways too, one for hitting with the dark beam, one after hitting it with the light beam)
UkazutoX 2 years ago
I'll go backtrack and scan em then. Is the neutral one scannable too? Or is it only the energized ones?

UkazutoX 2 years ago
As a logbook scan? Or just scannable?
