Alright people. On December 8, 2010, we should all go to major world sites wearing green and white, and chant anti-war and environmental messages. In the meantime, post similar messages on other videos (imploring not to be marked as spam), tell your friends about it, make groups on facebook and maybe even attract the stars media's attentions. there's no democracy to be overthrown, that'a what i was saying. name a country where elections are not rigged. it has been documented that al qaeda and taliban are working with the global tyrannical regime and their "harsh" rules are designed to feed you and your likes in the media. Liberate people of America, Russia, Europe, Asia, south America, Africa, Plaestine,... first and then worry about Afghanistan and Iraq. only some of the pashtuns (some 20% of the pop.), opium growers and some kurds in Iraq want the US presence because they are minorities and have no votes to rule on their own. US is doing in afghanistan what Soviet was doing in the 80s, protecting the jews, their opiunm fields and their minority rule.

The police agreed to the protest at the last minute due to sheer numbers and should have allowed people free passage into the square. Their own protest this week was only allowed at the last minute and no police felt they had to heard or photograph that protest. I note that the police protest on pay was a lot less than this march however they estimate that it was 22,500 members marching. Well done on some great coverage Ady!

I was there that day. Got roughed up by some police while trying to pull some people they tried to arrest out of their clutches after the demo, when crowds had begun to disperse. There were plenty of photographers there. If any one has seen photos of that please let me know, I can't find them anyway.

I was in the group of people that pushed the fences out of the way. But the vast majority of people had already walked past towards Tony Benn and the coaches. They were being herded.

Usual disparity in the numbers I notice, BBC claim 1500 on their article on the site, Organisers claim 5000, real total probably somewhere between the two figures...
