This can range from the person seeming as if they are daydreaming to having violent, uncontrolled muscle spasms. Now, "Electric Soldier Porygon" had a scene with many flashing colors, which triggered seizures in those kids. Many had to be hospitalized, so the episode was cut to prevent more cases.

Wait, two episodes were banned because of 9/11? They were aired years before that attack happened! Saw them both as a kid when the first series was on. I fail to see how BOTH are even related to the the 9/11 attacks. Sure there's a giant Pokemon destroy buildings, but what isn't these days in cartoons? That reason makes no sense for those to be banned, plus w/o tower of terror, people will be confused of how Ash got the haunter for one episode.

I think they only banned that one episode of the guns because it was pointed at children... however, I don't recall reading that any "child age" character were holding or using a gun in that episode so it should have been okay. A cartoon called Dexter's Lab did show uses of laser guns in possession of two precocious elementary students, Dexter and Mandark, who were rivals with each other. No bans there.
