Three universities of Singapore will provide full scholarships to Myanmar students for them to pursue in technological field as part of Singapore's aid to help the country develop human resources in the sector, sources with the education circle said on Thursday.
we have an army to ensure that our livelihood is safe and ppl do not need to worry abt being invaded like in world war 2 again. not because we enjoy fighting, and like to use our military strength to get involved in world affairs and politics
Our military is a defense force. If the time should come that our forces have to be aggressive, it means that we have already failed, in a sense of deterence.
Our forces also did contribute to the war in the middle east, and although it isn't significant, it's not bad if you compare the size of our country to some other countries chipping in over there.

Among residents, it was 5 per cent - still below the 6.2 per cent peak six years ago. This means 100,300 citizens and permanent residents were jobless. The previous high was 109,100 in September 2003.

Being a singaporean male requires you to serve 2 years of military service. But to get a PR here requires you to just work for 6 months to a to a year here. And its not even for the civil service, any company will do.

Good eyesight, keen observation and good fitness, math and teamwork are one of the few basic prerequisites.
Anyway more often than not, snipers don't really shoot. They observe the enemy, collect intelligence and act as FO's forward/fire observers for SAF's Divisional artillery.
Its a really boring vocation, unless you enjoy walking alot. If you're expecting any john wayne, hitman sort of action, abort that idea
You must have good eyesight, and you must go to BSLC in SISPEC. If you're lucky, you will pass out just in time when the window for sniper course is open. It's quite random actually. I wouldn't count on it.

Is there a standard requrement to get into guards or commandos beside being fit and i about to be enlist in three years time and my physical fitness is at at the pannacle so do i stand a better chance to get into either of these two unit btw i've got excellant CCA reccord in school so do i qualify for OCS as well ??
