This one has to be on a Parr with Child in Time by Deep Purple. Its from the same hymn book. It makes me trip without drugs. Playing to it is awesome. The words go with the music and it should be played by more bands.
I got into Free after hearing Wishing Well on a compilation album. I like all of their albums but Fire and Water and Heartbreaker are their best. This song is a great swansong for them.
Heartbreaker is a great album. Tetsu's killer bass lines, and great keyboard work by Rabbit Bundrick. Seven Angels is one of my favourite songs, very bluesy and dramatic Paul Rodgers' vocals
If you see me flyin' all across the sky there I go, I'm flyin' high. Six white horses a chariot made of gold seven lovely angels abide my soul I've got the moon on my right the sun on my left the world is behind me only one way to go that's straight ahead that's where I'm going.
This was the last studio Free album ..Andy Frazer had left and Kossoff was so wrecked by the drugs he hardly played on it..(most of the guitar being done by Rodgers)..Tetsu and Rabbitt were playing bass and keyboards hence the "unfree " like sound..still great though mainly through Rodgers vocals
@jmb92555 ..Think you got the wrong end of the stick mate..I also think this is the strongest "Free" album.Mainly as Rodgers was always the driving force of the band..But it sounds more "Bad Company" than Free, where Fraser and Kossoff were such an integral part to their sound..
Thanks for posting! A classic for sure! Can't fit all the lyrics here, but here's the best: Ive got the moon on my right, The sun on left The world is behind me There's only one way to go -- That's straight ahead That's what I'm good at. Well I just stepped out, out of my grave There I go, I ain't no slave In my right hand is the song of truth, In my left hand is the power of love. I call to the land, I call to the sea I call to the sky, Lord have mercy, won't you give me!
this song has been around for about 37 years then. thats close to 40 years any way you add it up ^^. I had this album as an 8track tape--I played it to death within a few months--I loved it--still do.

You gotta be kidding...the bass was more than adequate and Bundrick's keyboards were pretty much perfect. The was the best Free album.

I love Paul Rodgers' voice. He's one of my favorite lead singers, alongside Jim Morrison of The Doors and Jackson Browne.
