@hairowen Inger did not OD... Just a typical rumor for someone who had a drug past and is not seen in public much anymore. She is living in Los Angeles and doing fine.
@thewickedzirenita Yes, she was a friend of mine in the 90's... I saw her perform with the Nymphs, then later befriended her when she was in Motel Shootout. She and my band shared some bills, I had dinner with her and her mom, she came in and guested on the song "Wishful" by my band, Sons Of Bitches (hear a clip on iTunes)... Inger is incredibly talented, I always felt she just got in her own way... But incredibly talented singer/songwriter and I always found her to be quite sweet.
@bobbybobbinson My fave was I started a band, we covered "Revolt" at our first shows . Inger, in Motel Shootout, on tour opening for Hole. I went backstage, introduced myself, handed her a cassette of my demos. I figured she would not listen to it... Six months later my mom called me, said "Ingrid" had called looking for me. I said "Ingrid?" She said "She said she was given a cassette on the road, loved it, and this was the phone on it and wanted to talk to the person who made it"
@bobbybobbinson That was my first experience with her... The next time I met her was in NYC at a show she was doing, introduced myself, she said how much she loved my music, grabbed my hand and said "Come on, I have to have dinner with my mom" and took me with her to eat with her mother right then and there. Most of my memories of my time with her are very sweet. Inger had her troubles, yes, but don't believe half of what you hear about her. I actually knew her and she was a sweetheart.
They were a pretty decent band and put on some pretty fun shows. I remember back in the day in the old Club Lingerie (don't think it's there anymore) they showed up very late, about 30 minutes late. The band showed up eventually but Inger Lorre was still a no show. They started without her and were able to put on one song before the club pulled the plug and made room for the next band. They were really fun but I think they could have gone further if not for Inger's erratic behavior....
Great band. And even better when they had Bobby Belltower in the band, who co-wrote most of these tunes. Rawer, grittier, hungrier.

@golperuano, that sounds like what Axl Rose would do.
They could have been as big as Hole or Garbage.
