Can anyone tell me why this is illegal? You can take a cycle down any road in Adelaide. I can see it is dangerous, but we have all done stupid and fun stuff as kids. These guys look like they have got some serious protective equipment. Society dont want us down at the bar abusing alcohol, and they dont want us getting out doing extreme stuff. There are other 'illegal' activities that the cops turn a blind eye to like dirt bikes down at Pelican Point and Mountain biking through national parks.

we are hoping to organise a proper legal race on that hill and we don't want the locals to be turned off at the idea due to people shedding a bad impression before we even get the opportunity to put the race on.
