Very few games don't use ballistics because it isn't as accessible as the way they have it for most. There's a reason why MW2 is one of the most popular shooters ever, despite it's quality.

And eventually having too much realism just doesn't turn into a fun experience for most. I love games that incoporate realism and arcade gameplay, like Battlefield. But I don't like games that focus entirely on realism, like Flashpoint and ArmA.
