i don't know if anyone has already said this, but oc spray isnt 1000 times stronger than pepper spray, oc spray IS pepper spray. it's oleoresin capsicum spray, which comes from the capsicum plant (pepper plant).

Soldiers and Marines know how serious being overseas and in combat is so we make the best out of the training we can. trust me I know..

@volcompunksk8r No its wasnt in combat...he died shortly after he was discharged. Were 0311's not MP's...we were just doing an MP mission for our deployment so we had to get certified with this horrible OC spray lol. MP was like my 3rd MOS. I hated it. Very boring job and the people suck ass.

OC spray is 'pepper spray'. Pepper spray is just the generic name for it. Its strength is rated by levels one through three. The percentage of 'oleoresin' is just the amount of pepper in the can, not how strong it is. Alot of manufacturers state "10% maximum strength" or stuff like that for marketing purposes. The real indicator of how strong an OC spray is how much Capsaicin (CRC)is in the spray. Capsaicin is the heat bearing part of a pepper. Thanks for serving!
@Thepizzamonkey I'm not trying to be an ass but oleoresin is just the oil extracted from a plant. The capsaicin is the chemical in the pepper which makes it hot. A Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Chili) has a higher concentration of capsaicin that a habanero, so it is much hotter. I am very sorry about your friend. Never good to hear a brother has passed away.
