Asheville used to be a beautiful city....but lawlessness has taken over. Asheville is tolerant of infant murder, drunkenness, debauchery, & the celebration of sexual immorality while laughing, spitting, and mocking at Jesus Christ and His servants. Jesus servants are warning of the wrath of God to come of all who do not repent (turn from their sins) and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ! We are not promised tomorrow~ Repent while there is still time. When you die it is too late.
These street preachers are doing the same thing that Jesus did. Why do you scoff at them? I know why~Because the preaching of the gospel is FOOLISHNESS to those who are PERISHING, but to us who is being saved it is the POWER of GOD.
Yuck. The scum of the Earth is Street Preachers that spread hate and bigotry of what is supposed to be is a fun and joyful event. These people do not represent the TRUE faith of being a Christian. Hate speech on a pubic space should be illegal and shouldn't be tolerated!
I think those street preachers are great! I especially agree with what the very first guy (with the hat) is saying. He sounds (and looks) exactly like me! The thing I love about Asheville is there's always a ton of people willing to engage you in debate. I think debate is better than apathy.
haha I'm in the background of one of the scenes! Those preachers are there to satisfy a testosterone-driven urge to argue and "battle" people. And to satisfy their lust for "attention". They keep talking "about" the bible but never read from it or cite the verses. Its a win-less battle they choose to fight simply because they love the "fight" itself. Those preachers KNOW they could have been doing something else for the greater good instead of just making alot of noise at a noisy place.
@turbomoore And the people who take the time to argue with them are on the same level of ignorance or lower. Getting offened or upset by their very presence is a victory for them and fufills their mission. I'm glad they are there every year. Its fun watching the ignorant fight each other over nothing...in the park especially.
