Mello is my second favorite character, but he's only second because of L. Near used to be my second favorite character, butafter a while, I got annoyed at how emotionless he was with everything. I also didn't like how he tried to copy L, but also called him a loser at one point. I love Mello more because he didn't try copying the original L; he was his own person. And without Mello's inadvertent help, Near would have tragically lost to Kira/Light.

The most horrible thing about Mellos death is that it could have been avoided so easy... Had he not shown kindness to this witch Takada by giving her the blanket BEFORE she had taken off her fuckin bra she wouldnt have been able to hide the piece of Death Note paper. I also found it interesting that they made little to no effort in making him sound younger at that age. XD But the voice still rocks, it suits Mello just fine. :D

I wonder if Matt's popularity is also based on the fact that he is a bad boy, like Mello? I'm one of those girls who falls hard for bad boys, myself.
