Just turn the lights off in the room and your monitor will light the room, plus with the lights off in the room, you arent distracted by the scene of your desk or bookshelf being lit

Its commonly known watching a computer screen in a complete dark room is bad for your eyes. Thats why newer TVs has omnilights.

So why not replace that mono omnilight with light that changes color after what your watching or playing?

hi so is that 2 systems? can i ask do the units mimic each other or do they work together, for example the 2 back units, do they work as a "left back" and a "right back" so u could have 1 unit as 1 colour, and the other a diff colour, or is it just 2 back units, displaying same colours at the same time?

It did.

When you setup your system you can decide where in the room its located. Like you could setup ALL your lights on the left side with everyone on different distance so they would switch color to the left color of your tv in different moment.

Like if a red car would pass on the tv from right to left it would pass the lights one by one until last light has shown the red color.

rly made Quake 4 fuckin amazing!!!!!

when u run in the game,the fans increase power so u feel like the wind is on u

and when u get shot or ur shooting the wrist pad vibrates like simulation

and the bloom lights...Well there not good when u c them directly,but there good to have just behind the monitor (for me thats 3 monitors) :)

Great idea but I think the colours change to harshly in this edition. Lets hope they can iron that out because it could be fantastic if it was a little more smooth and natural.

To clarify: Any two light kits (the premium kit puts the lights on the speakers, though the speakers and subwoofer are worth skipping). It might be possible to use six lights, but hell if I know.

The video doesn't show the best qualities of it nor can it show the immersion quality. In games like Left 4 Dead, imagine being in a pitch dark room, with only the light of the ambx showing as your flashlight is turned on. Suddenly you hear a witch in the distance - shut off the flashlight and the room goes dark. It's not going to make for a better gamer, but don't tell me that doesn't add to the experience.

Personally i cant see the benefit - to me the flashing lights look artificial and I guess would be distracting for a serious gamer. Get a good quality 30 hi-res monitor instead and then you will be immersed. Let the monitor add ambiance, not some abstract flashing light. As for the fans, they might be good on a hot day, but if ya got BO, no one else will appreciate it!

I think it's cool and I think it can add reality to a game. The people that are saying it's distracting and only for pro gamers; do you think the same about graphic peformance? I think it would be quite boring to play games that are all doom quality...

I think the lights actually add a lot of reality-ish feeling to the gaming. So that it isn't just hack'n'slash here and there, but you can actually feel the mood.

It would prob hurt my eyes while gaming, and distract me to much to pay attention to the screen.. as a pro gamer I need to have all my focus to the screen and not to some lights that are behind it, so I wouldnt buy it.. im happy with my 21" flatscreen

^yeah, but not when it's that bright and sensitive. It should blend the colors more so that it gives you a feel of the whole screen color instead of just the colors from a point on the screen or whatever

it is called Amba-light, and the Amba-light is acctualy supposed to sooth your eye's, that is the whole purpose, more and more LCD/PLASMA are turning to the same page.

Well, the whole thing looks like it's a surround sound system with lights on them.

I would assume the reason that have it right around the screen is so you can see them on. They're really ment to be farther apart from each other, like in corners.

So if you put the distance factor in, and how far that kind of light can travel, it might actually be somewhat shnazzy.

i bet they would work better if the colors were a little more natural - less loud, and if they weren't right around the screen. some blue above on the ceiling for sky effect and green below for grass might work. interesting idea but not quite there.

I think a better system needs to be implemented where it would look at the colors on the screen and compromise a color. It just seems too sensitive to different colors. This whole system should add to the feel of the game, not distract you or give you seizures when changing your view between the ground and the sky.
