@enterthemainfront this piece is actually deceptively easy to play, if you have the correct bow technique and finger control then you can learn the basics of it in under a week. All said though, a very impressive rendition, congrats @pbaron23

Dude that was great...the only thing I could think that would have given the other person first place would have been choice of music or did you all have to play the same pieces? Again great job, for me it wasnt just how great you played but also how the music was part of you while you were playing much more than going through the motions.

Having won the 2nd prize with the Scher(t)zo and the Boccherini explains why, after Perenyi, there are no Hungarian cellists anymore. In the rest of Europe and Germany, playing like that would be just enough to join a university in order to study music, but definitely not enough to win a prize, let alone a prize called "Starker", let alone joining one of the major symphony orchestras. There is still a lot of work to do, amongst others, spelling the works correctly before posting them.
