I've lived in Australia for 1.5 years and been at Hillsong College the entire time and seen everyone of these guys on and off platform and their lives do nothing but reflect God and their passion and love for Him. Let's celebrate their wins and get over their perceived "failures." People get saved at every single service and event they have. And shouldn't we give God our best? That's what they're doing because God deserves nothing less. And why can't God be fun? Holy cow people, come on.

@gcdosh Im afraid I would disagree with you too haha! I enjoy jumping up & down, screaming, guitar riffs, drum cutouts, Im a drummer! However when I saw them in concert it became all about what they could do musically. They sung through the guitar hole, they had a good time rather than having a good praise for Jesus. The lyrics from united we stand & look to you were about God, then in Aftermath it was all sophisticated lyrics like rhythms of grace (bridge I love btw), aftermath & bones.

Sometimes I just feel its kind of ridiculous the things they do on stage just for fun and for hype... Really hope the next time I see them live again it will be a different feeling. Because they are one of my biggest influences and inspirations when it comes to worship music.... :D

@annyonion i have to disagree with you. sure the things they do on stage may seem a bit similar to secular bands: jumping up and down, screaming, adding guitar riffs, drum cutouts...thats just how music is evolving these days. you cant look at it and say its wrong. They are NOT trying to glorify themselves through their music, its all for Him! take a minute to look at the lyrics. its about how you engage your heart in worship. if you get distracted by that kind of stuff, that is another issue.

@livin4theoneabove if anything they are more relatable today than they were before.. i love the early stuff too, today everything is very modern (current). just take a look at the lights and various sounds these days, woah! in that sense, it is easier for us to share their music with our unbelieveing friends. there are plenty of bands that are still very oldschool that you may want to check out. All in all, the lyrics havnt changed, their passion and aim is still centered on glorifying God.
