If he were still performing? Playing folk or 50's rock and roll. With the occasional odd song for Yoko. And it is yoko's fault, there's real reasoning. It's to long to explain, so I'll leave u with this question. When was the only time Paul McCartney and John Lennon played together after the beatles? And when was the only period in johns post beatle life that he considered rejoining the group? The answer is hi
dude, you had to mention the name of Lennon's killer? whats the point? he's a non- person who deserves no acknowledgment whatsoever...let's not give this non-person any more fame, OK? I get the feeling you like to hear yourself talk, but think about it a bit...Peace
Can't decide. It's like choosing between your own children, lol. So with that in mind, I say it's all good, right across the board. It wouldn't feel right if any of it was left out. :)
Favorite John Lennon song is Come Together, its a song that rocks, and the lyrics are just awesome/trippy. Lennon would, without a doubt, be playing with Jack White. They have a very similar swagger and attitude towards rock, one that i think Lennon would appreciate quite a lot. I'd love to hear a jam between him and dave matthews... i feel like that would be amazing.
Some of my favorites songs by John Lennon are Dear Prudence, Happiness is a Warm Gun, Give Peace a Chance, I'm Losing You, You Got To Hide Your Love Away, but my favoirte song by Lennon is his cover of Stand By Me; And idk what type of music he would be making today. Prolly some pure rock n' roll that would still be #1 singles
The White Album has seemed the peek of the Beatles' talent and message in the world of music to me. It's the culmination of everything we love and respect about Lennon.
John Lennon... you have your own google background, and video to celebrate your 70th birthday.. you really are god, but why isnt ur birthday on december 25?
Hopefully John would remain cool and constantly innovating... Unlike Paul McCartney, from 1976 to this day, he didn't stop throwing away his credibility. I reckon John Lennon would HAVE to work with Damon Albarn eventually. As for favourite John Lennon songs, it's a four way tie between "A Day in the Life", "Strawberry Fields Forever", "Help!" and "Imagine". My favourite John Lennon album is Imagine.
None of the trash that exists today would be able to play with Lennon. Why couldn't Mark David Chapman wait till the current music scene if he wanted to get trigger happy?
"Imagine" is so complex and so simple. It's a direct plea. It is my favorite John Lennon song, and is the most beautiful. It was over played, and its been over used, but the reason for its media abuse is clear, its the perfect song; lyrically, fundamentally, spiritually and humanly.
Watching the Wheels is my favorite song off of Double Fantacy. I think he would continue sound the same. If he was still alive I would think the Beatles would have reunited. I think he really inspired musicians to write about their feelings and to express themselves through their music. I would say he would probably be with Oasis, since they were influenced a lot by the Beatles. Happy birthday John Lennon! if you were here you would be rocking 70 years young!!!
Abbey Road is my favourite. :) It's just SUCH a beatiful album! :D I think he would write chilled out songs, probably with some of the old boys. I think he would support upcoming bands to.
Imagine is my favorite song period, It describes his legacy by far. He's written so many amazing songs it's impossible to choose. John, your legacy of peace, music, and free thinking will live in the hearts of dreamers worldwide through generations to come. John Lennon would be making his own amazing music and he would be playing with only the best artists.
John is my favorite Beatle since always, and to think i almost forget his birthday! im so ashamed... my favorite song with the Beatles is "Revolution" and album is Sgt Peppers, solo is probably "Love" and album is Imagine, i love all of his musical contributions, but he's more of a role model for me, i like the way he was just as much as i love his music
I fucking love the song cant buy me love by the beatles and i could see him jamming with daron malakian from system of a down since hes a huge fan of lennon they are complete diff styles but idk u can jam with whoever u want to, who wouldnt wanna jam with lennon lol
Needless to say, at least he would be writing better material than Paul. But mellowed with age, I think he and Paul would have buried the hatchet a long time ago and they might even be doing acoustic shows together. George was indeed the most down-to-earth, genuinely funny and secure personality of the Beatles, and my fave, too.
favorites are working class hero and give me some truth and every album theres a reason why a picture of him is in every room in my house John is the best im happy to have my middle name be lennon he'll be forever missed R.I.P John
Hmm... John Lennon means a lot to me. My favourite album would have to be Please Please Me, and my favourite song is Help! He'd probably make up with Paulie and I bet they'd be making their golden records now :)
Favorite Beatles Album: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Favorite Lennon Solo Album: Imagine
What Kind of Music He Would Be Making: He'd be making music relevant to today's music scene, while keeping the spirit of the "classic" era alive and well.
Who He'd Be Jamming With: Dave Grohl, Paul Westerberg, Jack White, Robert Plant, and of course Paul and Ringo.
My favorite Beatles record is Revolver and my favorite Lennon solo record is John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band.My favorite Lennon track is Revolution. John I think would be jammin with artists like his kids, Radiohead, U2, Green Day. Bands with his kind of message. Also think he would be jammin with Paul and Ringo and guys like Clapton and the Stones.
Favorite John Lennon/Beatles album: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Favorite solo album: Imagine
And anyone who says Yoko Ono is responsible for breaking up The Beatles is directly insulting The Beatles and John Lennon, because anyone who thinks one person could break up the greatest band ever is retarded.
Oh, and maybe he would be jaming with Thom Yorke (happy birthday, Thom!)!
I think it would be cool, if Lennon were still alive, to see a Beatles reunion show. With John, Paul, and Ringo, and Jeff Beck on guitar :) That's a whole lotta ego on one stage.
@dummeponk dumbest thing ive ever heard he would be playing with a artsy band like radiohead or aracade fire and he would be messing with synthesizers not playing cheesy 80's rip off music like dragon force he was more about writing music and the soul of things than guitar rifts thats what made him special it was about the emotion...
@jakeadamsonmusic hahahaha I was only joking dude!! didn't you see the irony in what I said? :P dragonforce is kinda a joke-band to me even though some song may be good, i dunno...
Respond to this video... i love the white album imagine, revolver. i think john would be jamming with very experimental artists not a doubt radiohead and i could see arcade fire. maybe kevin sheilds a bit far out but i could see it. he wouldnt be one of those musicans constantly trying to go back to his roots hed be constantly evolving for better or for worse. John changed the world in soo many ways i cant even start. he changed me because well i learnt to play guitar and piano.cuzhim
either his cover of Stand By Me or A Day in the Life...he would probably still be making the bad ass hippie generation music he would always have made...maybe some new edgier stuff...hes my hero....honest and simple
John Lennon is kind of a role model for me with the way he wanted peace in the world and how he wanted to change the world. I personally think he was the better songwriter than McCartney.
BTW The White Album is one of my favorite albums of all time. I wouldn't mind Revolution 9 if it were shorter though >_>
I think Lennon would be jammin with Jack White or Radiohead today.
Favorite song, it's got to be imagine...the song even resonates today if only people could live like the song explains, the Beatles song has got to be : I saw her standing there, it was the first song that got me into the Bealtes and when i'm feeling blue, i put it on and it takes me back to my early years and simpler time, may John R. I. P., HIS MUSIC WILL LAST FOREVER...
I think that John Lennon would be rocking with Ozzy Osbourne, Them Crooked Vultures, Muse, Radiohead, Avenged Sevenfold, and sadly Lady GaGa (yes, he was a VERY free thinker)
I effing love John Lennon. He's been my favorite since the second I started loving The Beatles. I have all my classes doing something Beatles (i'm a guitar/chorus teacher). And my middle school choir is singing Imagine. They absolutely love the song and it makes my heart all warm and fuzzy when they request to do it. Lennon has been a huge influence on the person i've become and with the music I write. It's hard to explain. I don't have a favorite album; I love all his stuff.
John Lennon would still be recording rock music with a few experimental albums here and there, would have jammed with various artists including Ozzy, Alice in Chains, Primus, RHCP, Dave Grohl, and even Lady Gaga.
you know i think he'd be doing music with Les Claypool or weezer it just seems like he'd be willing to try anything but it just seems like he'd doing something off the wall or maybe he'd be jamming with Rush i mean he was kinda prog
John would still be into old fashion Rock and Roll, but he was always changing always moving foward. Something tells me John would make a new genera all together.
I guess that if he were alive he would do rock collabs with new artists but for his real solo career , he would be doing acoustic/experimental rock :D and do collabs with John Frusciante and other underground artists.
Well being a HUGE Beatles fan, this Saturday is going to be huge for me.
I don't think I have a favorite Beatles song that John sang, but In My Life, Don't Let Me Down, and Please Please Me come to mind. My favorite Beatles though is Rubber Soul.
My favorite solo song by John is either God, or may Isolation. My favorite solo album by John is either John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, or Imagine.
John Lennon had a MAJOR influence on rock n roll. And I think John would be making good old rock n roll.
fav john lennon song = strawberry fields or working class hero
album = imagine or rubber soul
for me john lennon has had the biggest impact on me. i would try to copy him from the way he sang to the way he wore his hair. he's the reason i started playing guitar. john lennon is my favorite beatle and will always be one of the biggest parts of my life.
peace and love. we'll miss you forever john. rest in peace johnny
I Am The Walrus, Happiness Is A Warm Gun, Tomorrow Never Knows, Well Well Well, Mother, Imagine, Instant Karma, A Day In The Life. Lennon would jam with Noel Gallagher.
The best artist to ever live anybody who says otherwise is just sick of his popular songs but if you listen to the full albums you'll get a fresh new lennon sound to appriciate.
Support you, man! George is my favorite!!! But John is amazing!

My favorite John Lennon songs are Working Class Hero, and I Found Out(that song's so badass and raunchy!)
My favorite one in the Beatles is anything he did in the White Album, except for Revolution 9.
I think he and Kurt Cobain would've been good friends. XD
My favorite Beatle is George Harrison, though.
(Do a video on him in February!)

I think that John Lennon would be rocking with Ozzy Osbourne, Them Crooked Vultures, Muse, Radiohead, Avenged Sevenfold, and sadly Lady GaGa (yes, he was a VERY free thinker)

Muse and Kings of Leon, but I love Helter Skelter the most

Favourite song (with Beatles): Strawberry Fields Forever
Favourite song (solo): Working Class Hero
I can picture John dabbling into grunge in the 90s. Who knows, maybe even punk.
Dude, George Harrison's my favourite Beatle too!

John would still be into old fashion Rock and Roll, but he was always changing always moving foward. Something tells me John would make a new genera all together.

For John , I don't have favorites, honestly.
I guess that if he were alive he would do rock collabs with new artists but for his real solo career , he would be doing acoustic/experimental rock :D and do collabs with John Frusciante and other underground artists.
Pancho449 1 year ago
i think he would make soft rock songs and a few up beat songs

Well being a HUGE Beatles fan, this Saturday is going to be huge for me.
I don't think I have a favorite Beatles song that John sang, but In My Life, Don't Let Me Down, and Please Please Me come to mind. My favorite Beatles though is Rubber Soul.
My favorite solo song by John is either God, or may Isolation. My favorite solo album by John is either John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, or Imagine.
John Lennon had a MAJOR influence on rock n roll. And I think John would be making good old rock n roll.

"Imagine" and "In my Life", more so "In My Life" because it is my favorite song of all time.
John would have done shows or collabos with U2 and Arcade Fire. Oh and probably something with Ozzy since he is such a huge Beatles fan.

for me john lennon has had the biggest impact on me. i would try to copy him from the way he sang to the way he wore his hair. he's the reason i started playing guitar. john lennon is my favorite beatle and will always be one of the biggest parts of my life.

The White Album - hapiness is a warm gun
Imagine - I don't wanna be a soldier mama
The best artist to ever live anybody who says otherwise is just sick of his popular songs but if you listen to the full albums you'll get a fresh new lennon sound to appriciate.
downrodeo2112 1 year ago
I think he'd be making really strange experimental music. Kind of like Revolution 9, but with a little more concept.

I am crazy about Sgt. Peppers and the song Sun King
I think he was a major pioneer for lyricism and psychedelic rock
If he was alive, he would be making protest songs about afghanistan
My favorite Beatle is John closely followed by George
Lennon would still be with Yoko

My favorite Beatles song is Taxman. Favorite album is Revolver, easily.

He was a visionary and one of the most peaceful beings. "Mother" is probably my favorite and that's just a one-off for the moment,
why didn't you mention Ozzy's cover of "How?"
