very sad. zoos are torture for animals. These animals are predators or grazing animals used to traversing vast areas in search of food. Stuck inside a small area, they pace in catatonic behavior. Simply, their captivity has made them insane.

A zoo, for our amusement, is a living hell for these animals.

Hmmmm.... Tortured animals amid shots of suffering humans... Including scenes from the controversial titicut follies. True, we treat the institutionalized animals like we do our institutionalized humans. Some very sad images, including the title of this being labelled as "funny". It might be funny to a sadist but all I feel is compassion for my brothers and sisters both human and animal in this video. We are all connected - how is this suffering funny? I want to comfort them all :(

This behavior is called stereotyping. It typically develops in animals that are confined in captivity and suffer psychological damage from boredom. It is cruel to keep wild animals in captivity for the amusement of humans. Going to Zoos, circuses, and aquariums only supports this cruel business.

These are bored animals. There's nothing for them to do. It's like sticking a person in a 6 X 8 X 10 cage for their life with nothing to do. I bet people would act similarly in such conditions.
