Well those kids shouldn't have been prescribed such a high dose, and then being used during exercise.

The deaths occured from intense cardio activity with the adderall in their system. Doctors have been telling people not to use it during cardio for years.

I was given adderall when I was around the age of eight I took it for at least four years, I now know the cause of my chronic depression and the seizures I had when I was younger. The doctors told me they didn't know what caused my seizures I now know what did It's this ridiculous drug! You really want your eight year old on fucking meth! I'm nineteen and still recovering from this shit!

@NabilRU a mix of amphetamine salts does not make it meth. it is NOT the same as meth, and does not act on serotonin like meth does. only dopamine.

First off adderall is dextroamphetamine and amphetamine, they act on serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine the SAME EXACT way as methamphetamine does.

Please, go ahead and tell me the difference between methamphetamine and dextroamphetamine? Ive used both, snorted street meth, and popped lots of adderall. The effects they have on me feel EXACTLY the same with barely any noticeable difference.

Speed is speed. Dextroamphetamine is just as dangerous as methamphetamine, period.

it amazes me that people give there kids this shit, I am willing to bet about 99% of of parents dont know its perscription speed plain and simple, adderall is mix amphetamine salts. Do you think parents would give it to there kids if they knew that? I think it should be required that doctors tell the parents just what it is.

@jimsutube123 Are you aware that in some states the parents can be threatened with having their children taken away for child abuse if they don't get them on drugs. Experts claim these kids will become dropouts and increase the odds of being drug abusers, so what do these parents do. Some choose to home school.

@pwg1126 In our state (Tx) we have Tort Reform now, which means a lawyer is not going to take your case unless you pay up front, because the courts award cap against doctors is $250,000 and that is not worth the lawyers time to win this case. These lawyers would have to work many hours for a chance at $84,000 if they win = to one third of the court awarded amount. It's hell to be middle class or poor.

i was on adderall when i was little, i eventually started flushing them, kids shouldnt be given adderall, school isnt that important when ur so young, im probly going to use it to get through college bcuz i do have add though

@PresidentOfTheBlack The schools have empowered teachers to detect if your child has ADDHD or ADD. If you refuse to get your child medicine, the state can charge you with neglect of your childs best well being. The school of thought is if you don't get medicine you will drop out of High school and become an addict or criminal anyway. You make up your mind. I recommend home schooling before using amphetamines on your child, they are very addictive. 20-30% ever recover from amphetamine addiction.

Yeah... I saw hallucinations from taking adderall as prescribed from toxicity of taking it (as prescribed) for 2 years and no one should ever have to see what I saw. It wasn't real, but I promise none of you will understand it until you have cracked to the other side of consciousness. I am glad to say I got out of the hold it had on me and the hallucinations stopped within 3 months (your mind isn't a light switch and takes a while to be repaired).

The FDA okays so many pharmaceutical drugs, for example Rezulin and Vioxx, that end of giving most people who use them horrible health problems and even death, yet they're making a big deal about adderall? Maybe a couple of people have died after taking Adderall. But many more people died because the FDA said it was okay to release the drugs you see on commercials being recalled. The FDA can go to hell.

@Xxero0 My 22 yr old son is. He took this amphetamine for 10 years and became addicted. After his first try at treatment and getting kicked out 22 days later he was going to try a halfway house (Getto house) and he went out to some Dr. and received his 90 pills (20mg), and died in his car sleeping in the back of his 2000 Hundai Accent waiting to try and get back in knowing he was going to probably get kicked out. I loved my son and the only way I know to honor him is to try and help others.

How the hell are you helping them. Making up their mind for them? Its the person individually who should decide whats good or whats not and given facts instead of scare tactics, not a bunch of people in white labcoats. If you want proof the FDA is full of shit theres a mushroom called Amanita Muscaria thats believed to help treat diseases like aids, cancer, and many others. However, the only reason people cant get to it is because its illegal to sell for human consumption. Thats called bullshit.

@Xxero0 What do you think selling amphetamines to children from 5 yrs and up is a good idea. I don't condone any mushrooms either. Do you think these ADD or ADDHD patients or college students will not develop a resistance to these schedule 2 drugs and need more and more. The federal govt. supposedly regulates the drugs. The bad thing is these drugs are 10 times easier to get if they are prescribed. I do not put much faith in any government agency that can be bought by lobbyist.

Because some of them actually HELP PEOPLE. I believe adderall and add meds are over-prescribed though. I mean, most ADHD kids can make it through school without meds. And your 20-30% that recover.... bro I quit adderall cold turkey. It was easy as shit, I mean there were urges to do it again and I was tired all the time, but it was much easier than the way you describe it. And hey, legal drugs, yo.
