  • @XCyrusTheVirusX Yeah, I didn't get flooded but my neighbors did and many asked me to put this video up to document what happened. Fortunately, they haven't been hit again but a worst flood hit other parts of the city last summer. I hope not to see anymore.

  • It's just amazing how much flooding there has been nearly everywhere this year, so much rain....

  • The first building is an old barn but the later stuff across the bridge is houses and trailers.

  • Amazing footage, I think I saw flooding like this in northeastern North Carolina when I was very young, but that was a very long time ago. Easy to underestimate the power of nature, but it can be very powerful indeed. Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks; I wish I could have uploaded a higher quality vid but YouTube only gives so much room so I had to go with what I could. Unfortunately,

    there is still a lot of places with garbage in the trees. Hopefully, it won't flood like this again next year.

  • You'd think we'd be well prepared for things like this, sad. they know how to stop hurricanes now with a jet fighter going into the heart of it (still to be tried) but the science of it sounds right

  • Not sure.  Blackburn Bottom is what you are seeingbut it was bad in many parts of Pike County, Kentucky.

  • my school got out for the rest of the year becuase of this, and we got out on the first day of school (august 12th) becuase it flooded again.

  • the magistrate came by our house last week in salt lick. both of our driveways are gone and we're stuck for a while. we have to get across to the other side by going down stairs we made out of mud and walking across the creek.

  • Lordy! I am glad I live close to Owensboro. We have a little backwater here but nothing like that.

  • i was born and raised in pikeville. worked in the coal mines for 2 years. i got some gas wells and property their still, although i live in tampa, fl. our thoughts and prayers are with you all. my uncle george lost his home on johns creek. tragic. best wishes.
