I think Heenan intended this as a joke, but he touched a nerve with Piper when he spoiled something that kids look forward to in Santa Claus. I genuinely think Piper was VERY upset, and Monsoon sensed it. And the way out of it was to slam Heenan on the table, even though obvious fake punches followed.

Man...Gorilla Monsoon (RIP) & Bobby Heenan were awesome....they are the reason I got into watching wrestling in the 80's....I remember the night this aired, my stepmother had ruined Christmas for everyone that day.....but this cheered us all up..I couldn't stop laughing!!!......no one can match the banter between Monsoon & Heenan.....not now....not ever!!

The best part is when they came back from the break...Piper has the look in his eyes of a man who committed murder, Heenan's gone, and Monsoon says, "My apologies, that buffoon has been taken out of here by security...I hope we've seen the last of him!" His indignance was priceless!

And HEENAN was taken out by security!?!?!? All he did was tell the truth! Piper assulted the man, and he wasn't hauled out? Gotta love it! LOL!
