  • Awesome the fire alarm looks like a wheelock

    Nice videos

  • Thanks, and the fire alarm is indeed a Wheelock alarm.

  • @CaptainElevator42189 You should try makeing an elevator! You could try it out of a winch!

  • I bet I could make an elevator with these parts, and I bet it would be fun to do and ride.

  • @CaptainElevator42189 Yes, i might try makeing one!

  • Yes, that would be truly hilarious.

  • @CaptainElevator42189 Cool, i will sub and friend you!

  • @CaptainElevator42189 It's a Gentex actually.

  • Yes, I've seen them too, and they do look like the one I have.

  • AWESOME!! I wanna see a demo of that light fixture!!!

  • Maybe you can build an elevator!

  • Amazing, and I find them quite often on Ebay.

  • At 2:28 i got the some "do not use elevator when flashing" plate i got recently.

  • Very nice fire alarm strobe. Where'd you happen to get that?

And I'm going to bet that motor is a 3 phase, or something,

  • The UT Elevator Project Manager gave me the fire alarm, and the motor is a 3-phase 240 volt 40 HP motor.

  • Interesting, and I wonder if you can visit the Monitor Controls place, and maybe get some information on their fixtures, and well as some used, vintage, or sample fixtures/parts.

  • Just to let you know for some cool info, Monitor Controls' headquarters are in Happaugue NY, only a few minutes from my house. There building is only 1 floor though.

  • COOL!!!!!!

  • Thanks.

  • I usually get the parts from Ebay, and in the case of modernization projects, I look in some trash cans for the parts, or the UT Elevator Project Manager, who is a good friend of me, gives me some parts.

  • I got some questions:

Where do you get this stuff?

How do you get them from modernization projects?

  • Interesting, and does DieselDucy have another Alderson lantern for his collection?

  • the second up/down indicator looks like the Aldeson indicator Dieselducy sent me and the light in the back is the one he sent me too

  • It sure is, and I will still collect more parts as I get them.

  • wow! that is really much!

  • Thank you so much.

  • I like your videos CaptainElevator42189

  • Thanks, since I was wondering, and I also have never heard of this company.

  • By the way the alarm is a Gentex SHG strobe.

  • Maybe, but I can also get some vacuum tubes and miniature relays from Ebay, to further expand my part collection.

  • Would you trade your alarm for some mabye 10 vacuum tubes?

  • Well, he should have done it in a separate video.

  • I get the parts from Ebay, but if you see a modernization project, maybe you can ask the elevator company if they have any used parts. And it can be from any elevator company.

  • How do you get elevator parts? I want to start some, I wonder if I can get in touch with a demolition company to pilfer me some elevator parts before they tear the building down.

  • Yes, those parts look like yours, but I still have more parts, and the light at the beginning is an 8 watt fixture, except it's white, rather than blacklight.

  • that light fixture looks just like mine. what brand is it and is it an 8 watt?

  • Yes, I think they're very neat indeed, and I got most of the parts from Ebay, as well as some modernization projects.

  • cool where did you get all this I want some

  • Amazing, but I too got it off Ebay, and it was custom printed with the Schindler logo on it.

  • LOL-Schindler Golf Ball

  • It is the Epco buzzer that goes from 2000-3000 HZ, and is used on all of the new elevators at UT Austin.

  • do you know what buzzer it is???

  • weres level 1 and 2 on the panel 3-5

  • So do I, and even though the floor indicator & delta-based lantern are from the GAL Elevator Products Company, they came from an Otis elevator.

  • wow beutiful parts i like the old otis ones and the motor

  • The glow-bar lights use LED bulbs.

  • Is the glow bar light LED or neon? That is cool to have the Vector light fixture.

  • I sure have collected a lot of elevator parts, and I still will. Also, I will get some parts from Ebay and modernization projects when I come across them, and to replicate elevator panels, you can use pencils, colored markers, templates to make shapes, rulers to measure the plates, and balsa/bass hobby wood to make the control panels.

  • How do I replicate elevator panels?

  • by far you have the best collection on youtube how do you know when they are going to modernize the elevators to aquire the parts like this i was going to take a box from the counterweight in columbia but i didnt know if it was ok so i left it alone thats wild tho

  • Wow! You certainly have collected a lot of elevator components! Maybe when I go to college I can collect elevator parts. Also, you did a fantastic job on replicating elevator panels!
