i once stood against an army of hornets and tanks with 12 squads of marines, 3 spartans, and a grizzly....for about 15 minutes! and after awhile my base was destroyed I was still standing for another 5-7 inuts. i still lost but the guy did give me props:D

i still play this gaem cause its awesome and something like this happened to me once where i was up against 3 AI charecters playing on lvl 86 automatic which i held out for numerous waves of scarabs and wraiths and other assorted units with 4 turrents and some marines and some other untis but like 30 minutes dude of just there waiting for the inevitable

man, every one who thinks they know about REACH and say that spartan III were there and so are fucking stupid! instead of playing the game like retards go read the book before you talk because the game was VERY inaccurate compared to the book. of course master chief was there, that is were all the spartan II were made. for all you retards spartan III were made YEARS later on a planet called ONYX. many spartan II survived but are not mentioned any more. Spartan III SUCK!

@RoastPartyTime ok, first thing is that you were right, the only spartans that were there were all surviving spartan II's except for about 5-6. at the same time kurt, a spartan II ws on onyx finishing some training for some S-IIIs. S-III's were wealer,yes but they were cheaper, deployed by the hundrreds, and overall just as effective because of their numbers. about the same time the first halo is activated the sentinals on onyx activate,

So it is YOU who needs to get his facts straight.

@redskins998877 the only part i maybe got wrong was ere i said years later thats it. it was maybe weeks when chief activated the first ring. a team of 300 spartans were exterminated by the covanant when the s-IIIs went to destroy thier factory, only 2 s-IIIs made it. 117 took one the entire covanant army plus the flood with marines at hisside, not week little s-IIIs

lol that reminds me of a time that i was online and it was 3v3 my team was gone and all my enemies had scarabs. so i set up a bunch of cobras and vultures (i only had 1 base so i thought i was screwwed) then they took down my reactors all i had left was 7 marines,1 cobra,2 vultures and a spartan. i used my mac rounds at the last second and killed everything XD

@icorey2 i think its best to go for 3 units overall. I usually play anders and for 1v1 I will take tech 2 flamers hogs and hornets to the enemy base and get tech 3 upgrades while im over there. 3v3 i will make an army of 3 spartan tanks 5 wolverines and 10 hawks(vs 2 or more covenant build). i usually get the force out first and have 3 bases pumping both units and resources. all these units compliment each other and the game mode i am playing.

a few tips... for standard games like that you should completely upgrade ONE unit then make an entire army of them (such as hawks when playing as anders or sgt forge with grizzlys etc.) or maybe do a warthog rush earlly in the game. and sending your entire army out to attack when your under attack isnt a good idea

The repair ability seems like a good idea at the time of need but the moment somebody gets shot at it stops working. Save it for when you have a few seconds of peace or when the enemy is distracted by something else... like a buddies army coming to save your ass. Scouts are hardly worth their weight when it comes to this too.
