Yes Engl is for the heavy sound, try a pure vintage amp, and you will hear his real personality, clean with a vintage fender circuit, you will found this bell strat tone, pod or other stuffs can't do that, still virtual sound ;-). by the way, this strat is amazing :-)

Where'd ya pick up your relic if ya don't mind me askin? I've been tempted to pick up a 1960 CS relic over the net but am wondering if it's too much of a gamble. Might not be happy with it.

whats your recording setup?

for live performances i use ENGL se special edition 670 with El34 tubes 100watt and Engl 4 x 12 V30 celestion speakers.For home rec i use a POD X3 Pro Rack by Line6 and various stomp boxes
