I didn't like this performance. You guys need work on both intonation and tone. Plus the recording device wasn't exactly a great standard. I'm sure you guys are great musicians but this performance...not so much

forgive me...i think the playing is too "classical" and not sexy enough. and the piano doesn't convey the argentinian tango mood - the accents could be better done.

It is not enough dynamics and fellings put into their playing. Oblivion is incredible difficult to play. Only peson I have ever heard to play it perfectly was Gidon Kremer.

totally disagree...you need to go back to the original players..Gidon Kremer does not sound like a true argentine player. No American does....not their fault. It isn't in our training. We can sound close, but no cigar. I had a lesson with THE Suarez Paz of Piazzolla's quintet and he said this himself. And, when you have a lesson from a true tangero, then you understand. We just play differently and if you are a seasoned player, you can't rid yourself of that identity.
