Never been to Vancouver, but I've heard it's a rocking cool town.

The entire band wrote this one, one of my favorites of theirs.

I hope they release a full-length DVD concert. The bonus DVD with the album is good but the show at the IMAX theaters was too good to not release to the public.

Chad's drumming is just furious and so big like vintage Bonham, and Satch is just screaming. Chickenfoot is the best band in the world at the moment!

The "drum sound" is COMPLETELY different from Bonham. Chads is a much more direct, modern sound.

Led Zeppelin had the microphones further away from the drums to create a more roomy and "vintage" sound. Listen to the records, you'll notice.

The style is also different. Bonham does 10 times more fills than Chad. Until 2:40 or something of this video, he hardly plays any.

They all are pro´s. The Album is full of technical stuff and great playing - but not one real good song on it. Good playing is not all.

As most people know, Joe Satriani is a virtuoso guitarist, but he mostly played solo without a front man or a real band. I have often imagined someone like him, someone that could do anything, in a rock band. This could be it.

I keep on seeing Sammy Hagar's Crate Red Voodoo amp in the background of these videos...does he ever play guitar along with Satch during the show?

IIRC Sammy only played guitar during the encore. Deep Purple's "Highway Star" and Bad Motor Scooter. His guitar was really low in the mix and he was struggling to hear himself in the monitors. I was standing right in front of his amp at the front of the crowd and could hardly hear him playing :(

Cool thanks for the reply. From what I've heard, Sammy was a pretty decent guitarist back in the Van Halen days. It's good to know he can still rock with a guitar! That's a bummer that his levels weren't high enough though. I can't imagine playing guitar on stage next to Satriani.
