Iv watched several of your video's. These techniques that you teach, my people have been practicing for thousand's of years. It's sad that alot of the Native American youth (including me) do not know these. Thank you for sharing Its a great thing you do.
@trapperjacksurvival Thank you again. I wish more youth and elders knew these ways. i will pass your videos on. Mitakuye Oyasin ( means All My Relations ) We are all connected and related. Peace keep up the good work.
Just watched SEVERAL of your videos, and I can not wait to get my boys out and try this primitive fishing technique. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, it will get passed on.
@DragonDreamer109 They work man You need to be patient , it worked for the natives for thousands of years, but there rivers and pounds were full of fish back then, and there was very few people and pollution! Good Luck man!
WOW I just stumbled across your video Jack. Let me just say it was very interesteg and informative. your resourcefullness is admired. I am glad i found this site it opens my eyes to the possibilities that are out there with a little training and ingenuity.
I think his approach was good. I think he should work on much thinner lines using fibers from plant matter into the line or dental floss if available. Willow branch idea is good. the bead is great, using bones,Thorns for hook is good but the size of the hook is too large. gatta work on that.
I prefer natural fish traps, this lets me do other things that need to be done while checking traps once in a while. thatched sticks to form fish funnel traps work good.
use natural cordage for thatching the sticks together. form your cylinder then add your funnels into the cylinder, you can add a lure in the trap to be more successful.
Hey Trapper, I don't know if you've heard the good news or not but youtube now allows you to make videos up to 15 minutes long. Just thought I would let you know cause I love your vids and wouldn't mind more lol
That is really cool
