  • Dear Geoff, Many thanks - I will take a look and have a word with Festool if there is an issue that needs to be sorted out. By the way - you can read my e-book on your PC if you want to avoid buying a Kindle - Amazon give instructions for this. I have a Kindle and it is a great little gadget. I have all my pdf manuals on it (costs nothing to put them on) plus a whole bunch of books. Peter

  • Just another point Peter in praise of your in depth DF 700 demonstration there is a french equivalent on Utube as well and he demonstrates the different depth stops as locks...as you have said the instruction is not too good and some people (les francais !) may never use this very useful feature. Geoff

  • Peter I am a fan of your videos...I saw the cyclone one, which is on the list but I bought a DF700 after seeing a demo....but was a bit stuck. You explained it very very well and now I am joining everything in sight.I've also subscribed to Woodworker magazine.... I'll have to buy a Kindle now to read your book...

  • @givreycham Many thanks. Enjoy the DF700 - it is lovely. Please, when you have read the book, do a review on Amazon for me. It is really important to get reviews as it helps to promote the book. Enjoy the book and enjoy your woodworking. Peter.

  • Thank you for a comprehensive presentation.

I can't say I could justify the cost of such a machine, when I have two or three other methods, (Not quite so fast) of cutting mortice and tenon joints. Not including by hand of course.

However, I am impressed by this machine, and it's capabilities. Once again, thank you. (And please excuse me picking on your 'split-infinitive' in Part 1. When split, those pesky infinitives, are a pet hate of mine! :)

    Cheers

    MC

  • @MiCompre It is a lovely machine and if you are able to get one you will not be disappointed. When you get to my age, doing videos without an auto-cue is quite a challenge and the odd error here and there just adds to life's rich tapestry.

Thank you for your valuable comments. Keep watching - and why not read my e-book, STONE MESSAGE, from Amazon. You will not be disappointed and I would value a review from an English don. Cheers.

  • Thanks for the fast responce!

:) can't wait till they ship them over here!

  • I have heard 8mm and 10mm domino slots can also be made with this machine ,is this true?

  • @klepper00 Yes. 8, 10, 12 and 14mm. All work perfectly.

  • Thank you for great video review Peter. Very nice indeed and also very informative. Greetings from Finland. :D

  • @MrCarpenter69 - Many thanks. More will follow. Peter
