  • My brother Eddie is a country singer and know hes in heaven fffffinally getting to sing along with the old one who are up there. He was killed in a car wreck. He got a letter to sing at the Grand old opery and made just enough money to go there. I miss him alot but now know he is where he wants to be singing in heaven with the great singers we have lost except in our hearts. Love you Eddie

  • I love this song.. Bill is such great voice... I also love the piano player, Gordon Mote.

  • They both do a great job with this song

  • Damn I am crying Oh bill can sure get to the heart or should I say the cold hard facts of life. I just turned 61 and never thought this hit m e..

  • Not Porter but Bill does a great job!

  • if someone has a live video of bill anderson singing papaws sunday boots could you please post it

  • bill anderson can make a grown man cry

  • Pulled this after years away from the business Mr Anderson was and probally one of the nicest ledgends in the business. I opened a few shows for him. Loved his Disco DoubleSS error. No one but him could have pulled that off.

  • He always could sing a sad song.but to me that is too sad and true.Jack thelongshot11

  • anyone know who the lady nodding her head at :28-:33 is?

  • @jasonerling I do believe that's Porter's daughter.

  • Anderson wrote this song...

    Porter had the hit version...

  • I used to listen yp this song when I was young. My father had the 8 track and he and I went everywhere together. I had and have the vinyl as well as on my computer too. If you look at the original albun cover art it looks like Faron Young on the couch wjth the "wife." This is the name of an Porter Wagoner album from 1967, this album has a host of good music. Try "Hundres Dollar Funeral" "Shopworn" and "We'll grt ahead someday."

  • Nice tribute to Porter!

  • roy clark ! (he played the banjo on hee haw) at 40 seconds

  • Love this video, one of my favorite songs and watching this up close.
